APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of the meeting of July 12, 1978 were presented
and on motion duly made and seconded, approved as corrected.
APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL PERMIT FOR NEW GASOLINE FILLING STATION -
BOSTON POST ROAD AND DILLON ROAD
Mr. Edward Dicker from the firn of McGoey & Matirano,
Attorneys, of 301 North Avenue, New Rochelle and Mr.
Anthony Frangiosa of BP Oil Inc. represented the appli-
cants.
The Board had reviewed the plan at its meeting of March
8, 1978 and had approved the application with conditions.
Since the proposed plan had to be revised to conform
with the requirements of the New York State Department
of Transportation for the location of the curb cuts and
approaches to the property it was necessary for the ap-
plicants to make another application to the Town Board
for a Special Permit.
After discussing the revised application the Board decided
to recommend that as stated in the previous application
the illuminated canopy only be allowed on three sides
of the building and if necessary to have more lighting
they use spot lights in the rear. The Planning Board,
also, recommended that the applicants construct the pro-
posed wall to match the material used for the building
and that a fence with a gate be provided around the gar-
bage area .
The Secretary was asked to inform the Town Board of the
recommendations made by the Planning Board.
PRELIMINARY HEARING - MARX' S PROPERTY
Mr. Van Suetendael , the Engineer for the Developer, pre-
sented a revised plan to the Board showing three access
roads and all the lots conforming to the Zoning regula-
tions .
Mr. Barry Mendelson of 16 Fairway Drive , who is one of
the residents objecting to the proposed road being directly
behind their homes presented two plans to the Board which
had been made by Alan Anderson, an Architect. Mr. Ander-
son showed the Board two alternate plans for either two
or three access roads . The Board discussed these plans
as presented and said that because of traffic the plan
showing the three roads would be more beneficial .
Mr. Van Suetendael claimed that Mr. Anderson' s plan show-
ing the three access roads would be more costly and in-
volve more blasting than the plan the developer had pre-
sented showing the three access roads.
The Board discussed the application and decided they
would agree to accept the plan Mr. Van Suetendael had
presented showing three access roads and the applicants
said they didn' t think they would be able to have the
final plans ready for the September meeting. It was
decided that the Public Hearing would probably be set
at the September meeting for the meeting of October 11 ,
1978.

ing it was adjourned at 10:45 P .M.
