HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975_08_18 Planning Board Minutes MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PLANNING BOARD OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK HELD AUGUST 18, 1975, IN THE COUNCIL ROOM OF THE WEAVER STREET FIREHOUSE, WEAVER STREET AND EDGEWOOD AVENUE, LARCHMONT, NEW YORK. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by the Chairman at 8:20 P.M. ROLL CALL Present: Mr. Fred L. Maggini , Chairman Mr. Joseph Rigano Mr. G. Norman Blair Mr. Edward J. Cibulay Mrs. Mary Carlson OLD BUSINESS - APPLICATION OF MR. JOSEPH WARD - SUBDIVISION OF BLOCK 102 PARCEL 118 The Chairman explained that he had called the Special Meet- ing to vote on the application of Mr. Ward. Mr. Maggini pointed out that the lot in question met all the require- ments for a buildable lot and if the Board did not vote on the application it would automatically be approved after 45 days. Mr. Maggini , Mr. Rigano and Mr. Blair all voted in favor of the application. Mr. Cibulay and Mrs. Carlson both voted against the application and their reasons were as follows: 1 . Because of the possibility of the wrong parties being involved. 2. Because of the cloud on the title. 3. Notice had been received of a possible forgery of Mrs. Ward's signature. The application was therefore approved and the following Resolution duly adopted: WHEREAS, Mr. Joseph Ward, owner of the premises located on Weaver Street and known on the Tax Assessment Map of the Town of Mamaroneck as Block 102 Parcel 118 and shown on a survey en- titled "Survey of a Portion of Lot 1 as shown on Map of Lakewood in the Town of Mamaroneck, Westchester County, N. Y. " dated April 22, 1975 has filed with this Board an application for the approval of the subdivision of this plat; and © WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 276 and 277 of the Town Law, a Public Hearing was held on July 9, 1975 after notice was published in the of- of Mamaroneck, ficial newspaper of the Town the Daily Times; and WHEREAS, this Board has examined the plans and determined that the same are all satisfactory; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the application of Mr. Joseph Ward be approved and the Chairman of the Plan- ning Board is authorized to sign such subdivi- sion map as evidence of the approval of same. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before this meet- ing it was adjourned at 9:00 P.M. Rita A. Johnson, Secretary 7qc
