HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985_04_17 Planning Board Minutes MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE PLANNING BOARD OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK HELD APRIL 17, 1985, IN THE COUNCIL ROOM OF THE WEAVER STREET FIREHOUSE, WEAVER STREET AND EDGEWOOD AVENUE, LARCHMONT, NEW YORK. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by the Chairman at 8:15 P.M. ROLL CALL Present: Mr. Paul Kalos, Chairman Mrs. Mary Carlson Mr. Anton Schramm Mr. Emil Nicolaysen Mr. Sanford Bell Mrs. Caryl Mahoney Mr. Lester Bliwise Also present: Mr. Lee Hoffman, Jr. , Town Counsel Mr. Gary Trachtman, Engineering Consultant APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes of the Special Meeting of March 7, 1985, were presented but Mr. Kalos suggested they wait until a review of the Stenographer's record was made. PUBLIC HEARING - SPECIAL PERMIT - 2155 PALMER AVENUE - BLOCK 501 PARCEL 1 - CAR DEALERSHIP - D'ELIA AND DECARO A Public Stenographer was present and his minutes will be made part of the record for the meeting. Mr. Geoghegan appeared and said there had been a change in the plan. On motion made and seconded the Board opened the Public Hearing. The Board made a motion and seconded it to continue the Public Hearing for the Special Permit at its meeting on May 8, 1985. ADJOURNED HEARING ON SITE PLAN REVIEW - GARFIELD HOUSING Motion was made and seconded that the meeting be opened on the application. Mr. Schramm took over the meeting. Letters were read from Mr. Trachtman and the Thruway Authority. A motion was made by Mr. Bell and seconded that Mr. Hoff- man draft a Resolution stating conditions to be considered by the Board at the next meeting. The vote was 5 to 1 with Mr. Nicolaysen opposing saying that he did not think it was necessary to have another three week delay. Mr. Kalos abstained from voting. ADJOURNED HEARING ON SUBDIVISION APPROVAL - MALONEY-BERINGER It was pointed o that the hearing had been closed on SEQR but the issues concerning the subdivision were still pend- ing. A motion was made and seconded not to require a Final Environmental Impact Statement with Mrs. Carlson and Mrs. Mahoney casting opposing votes and the other five members voting in favor. A motion was made and seconded to open the hearing on the Subdivision and the Stenographer's report will be made part of the record. A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the Public Hear- ing on the subdivision approval with all the members voting in favor. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before this meet- ing it was adjourned at 10:45 P.M. Rita A. John on, Secretary
