Norman Blair, Chairman Mr. Anton Schramm Mr. Paul Kalos Absent: Mrs. Mary Carlson Mr. Warner Pyne, Jr. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes of the meeting of June 11 , 1980 were presented and on motion duly made and seconded, approved as submitted. The minutes of the meeting of May 14, 1980 which had been presented at the June llth meeting but with approval being reserved until revisions were made were approved by the members present as corrected. Mrs. Carlson who was not present at the meeting had objected previously but the members present said the objections were in reference to sequence and not context and felt they were not signifi- cant. APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL PERMIT - LUX CAR CARE LTD. - 2434 BOSTON POST ROAD It was pointed out that this application had been presented to the Board in August 1977 and had been approved by the Planning Board with their recommendations to the Town Board, but Mr. Abrahams, the owner, had never completed all the work because of illness. Mr. Abrahams explained to the Board that he had sold the business to another party who has "walked away" and he has again recovered ownership. Mr. Abrahams said his reasons for wanting the addition are still the same. The Board pointed out that one of the conditions that had been made at the time of the pre- vious application had been completed which was the guard rail that the applicant had built. Mr. Elfreich, the Town Engineer, had written a memo to the Board stating that he had inspected the site and his only comment was that minor drainage improvements should be made to control the water that now runs on Town property. After a brief discussion the Board decided to recommend that the Town Board approve the application with the fol - lowing conditions : 1 . The applicant provide sufficient drainage to keep the water off of the surrounding pro- perties. 2 . When the applicant completes the construc- tion of the additions to the building he resur- face the lot and paint the building. The Secretary was asked to notify the Town Board of the recommendations made by the Planning Board. ADJOURNMNENT There being no further business to come before this meet- ing it was adjourned at 9:15 P.M. . Rita A. Johnson,/ ecretary
