Ms. Fisher informed the Commission that the Hommocks Pool roof has been reinstalled and the pool is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, September 11tn 2. The Recreation Department has hired Matthew Trainor to fill the position of Senior Recreation Leader. Due to his aquatic background, Mr. Trainor's responsibilities will include pool personnel and programming. 3. The Town is in the process of preparing the 2003 Town Budget. Next month's meeting will include a Budget discussion. 4. A Request for Proposal was sent out in an effort to obtain a new concessionaire for a Skate Pro Shop at the Hommocks Park Ice Rink. 5. Commissioner Dufficy thinks the Monday, Wednesday, Friday option (barring any swim meets) would be the best. Ms. Fisher will follow up. HOMMOCKS POOL CLOSING CREDIT The Town Board has reviewed and endorsed offering a 10% credit, to be deducted from the purchase of a 2003-2004 pool permit, to those residents who held a valid pool permit between June 10— July 9, 2002. This proposal is now being submitted to the Recreation Commission for their review and approval. Commission Druker feels strongly that the proposal should have been reviewed and approved by the Recreation Commission before the Town Board, since it is the Commission's responsibility to set fees. Councilman Odierna responded that the Town Board did not intend to make the final decision.
