CAMP ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF-SUMMER REVIEW :
After introductions, Ms. Fisher thanked the Camp Directors for their continued support.
MONROE PRE-SCHOOL CAMP
Mrs. Terry Quiros, Director, informed the Commission that Monroe Camp had an "amazing
season". She thanked the Commission for the new playground, but reported that the house is in
desperate need of repair. Parental suggestions included: more sports, wading pools and an 8
week session.
CHATSWORTH PRE-SCHOOL CAMP
Mrs. Debra Ahlfeld, Director, stated that even though they had 212 children registered, they had
a happy summer. She feels very strongly that next year Chatsworth Pre School Camp should
employ a full time medically trained person to oversee first aid, food allergies, etc. She would
also like a Unit Leader for the 4 year old group.
HOMMOCKS PLAYGROUND CAMP
Mr. Karl Zenie, Director, informed the Commission 416 children attended the Playground Camp
this summer. He would like to see a limit of 400 for next year. Mr. Zenie's suggestions for next
year include: more special events such as Disco Day, an Assistant Sports Specialist, an
Assistant Art Specialist (for daily arts & crafts) and an Supervisor for the mushroom pool. He
suggested that a playground at the pool/rink complex would benefit the community, as well as
the camp.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business to come before the Commission, on a motion by Commissioner
Druker, seconded by Commissioner Paonessa the meeting adjourned at 8:10 P.M.
