REQUESTS FOR USE OF THE CARPINO-STEFFENS FIELDS
On a motion by Commissioner Rainaldi, seconded by Commissioner Druker, a permit was
granted to Rich Becker for use of the Carpino-Steffens Fields July 7th to July 18th from 5:00 to
8:00 P.M. for the Tiger Soccer Camp.
On a motion by Commissioner Castellani, seconded by Commissioner Paonessa, a permit was
granted to Ed Droesch of the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Youth Lacrosse Association for use of the
Carpino-Steffens Fields. The Association may use one field on Fridays and either Saturdays or
Sundays until 8:00 P.M.
INCENTIVE PROPOSAL FOR CAMP DIRECTORS:
Recreation Supervisor, Toni Ann Guagliano requested that the Commission consider approval of
allowing children of Camp Directors to participate in Town camps free of charge.
The Commission is uncomfortable allowing non-paying children into camp. Several options
were suggested such as; scholarships, discounts and re-evaluating salaries.
Commissioner Dufficy inquired if the Department can determine what other municipalities do.
Ms. Fisher suggested a salary analysis (to be sure that the Town is competitive with other
municipalities) may be the best solution. The Commission agreed and in the Fall the Recreation
Department will conduct a salary survey of nearby Recreation Departments.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business to come before the Commission, on a motion by Commissioner
Paonessa, seconded by Commissioner Druker the meeting was adjourned at 8:35 P.M.
