CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting held in the Hommocks Park Ice Rink Community Room was called to order
at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Druker.
ACCEPTANCE OF MEETING MINUTES:
On a motion by Commissioner Paonessa, seconded by Commissioner Plansky, the
Meeting Minutes of May 13, 2014 were unanimously approved as submitted.
SUPERINTENDENT'S UPDATE:
Ms. Fisher reported the following:
1. The Mamaroneck Elementary CO-OP Camp has submitted their request for
usage of the Hommocks Pool Facility for their summer camp and approval has
been granted.
2. Summer program registration is ongoing. Current registration numbers as of
June 11th are as follows:
Hommocks Playground - 337

The Camp Monroe lottery was not necessary.

5. Golf Camp will begin on Monday, July 7tn
6. Many aquatic programs begin the week of June 30th
7. Our first Concert in the Park this year will be Monday, July 7tn

SUPERINTENDENT'S UPDATE CONTINUED:
8. 18 Lifeguards have been certified this year. Lifeguarding will continue in the
fall.
9. Kayaking and Paddleboarding have 24 participants enrolled so far.
10.The youth summer programs and after camp programs are continuing to grow
in enrollment.
11.A floor plan of the Hommocks Playground Camp is enclosed outlining the
available space within the Hommocks School for camp usage. As of Monday,
July 21st we will move back into the rear of the Hommocks Ice Rink and
possibly the Community Room.
12.We are anticipating incurring an expense for custodial overtime for use of the
Hommocks School. There also may be a charge for use of Central School this
summer. Steve Altieri and Jill Fisher are in the process of working with the
school district on the value of existing in kind services that are provided to
each other.
13.Wi-Fi has been installed at the outdoor pool area and ice rink.
14.The repair work for the existing rubber at Memorial Park was awarded to Pat
Corsetti, Inc. for $8,300.
15.The Carpino-Steffens Field will be fertilized on June 23rd
16.Summer pool hours go into effect on Saturday, June 21st
17.The Fall/Winter brochure is at the printers. It will be available to residents the
week of August 11th
18.The 2015 budget process has started. As we prepare for 2015, it is unknown
whether or not the Town Board will accept a third year of exceeding the tax
levy cap or not. This year each department has been asked to prepare a
budget that does not increase more than 1.6% over last year's budget.
19.An e-mail was reviewed from Town Comptroller, Tony Siligato regarding the
estimate of the new debt service payments for the ice rink improvements.
20.A list of additional improvements being made to the Ice Rink prior to its re-
opening was reviewed.
21.The Ice Rink renovation is currently two weeks behind schedule, but this time
can be made up according to Honeywell.
E-MAIL FROM MR. MIKE LOGA:
After 10 years as President of MYHA, Mr. Mike Loga has stepped down. Mr. Jim Coady
will be his successor.
MYHA has made a request for some additional ice time due to their expanding program.
Rob Lunde will be meeting with Mike Loga and Jim Coady to discuss MYHA's needs.
After further discussion, the Commission unanimously agreed that current renters
should not lose ice time that they currently have. They have asked Rob Lunde to try
and accommodate all users as best as possible.
On a motion by Chairman Druker, seconded by Commissioner Rainaldi, the commission
unanimously approved to continue to accommodate all our current renters. All in favor.
ICE LOGO DESIGNS:
The Commission discussed different options for logos within the ice. The Commission
has asked Rob Lunde to get some visual options for them to review before making a
decision.
