FINANCIAL AID GUIDELINES:
With more residents in need of financial assistance to participate in recreation programs, Ms.
Fisher requested that the Commission develop a set of guidelines for her to follow when
reviewing applications.
After a lengthy discussion, the Commission unanimously decided that Ms. Fisher should use her
good judgment and the following guidelines when assessing all applications.
1. Continue to use the HUD guidelines as an indication of household financial need.
2. Limit the number of participants at each program receiving financial aid.
3. Utilize a sliding scale for additional family members requesting aid.
4. Financial Aid will only be available for day camps and not for any special programs.
