ACCEPTANCE OF MEETING MINUTES:
On a motion by Chairman Druker, seconded by Commissioner Plansky, the Meeting
Minutes of November 11, 2014 were unanimously approved as amended.
SUPERINTENDENT'S UPDATE:
Ms. Fisher reported the following:
1. Currently, 105 children are registered in the Youth Hockey House League
program.
2. Session II of Skating School concludes on December 19th with an enrollment of
357. Last year, Session II had a total of 320 skaters registered. Session III will
begin on January 6th
3. A copy of the December Hommocks Park Ice Rink calendar is enclosed for
information purposes.
4. Fall programs are concluding. The winter session programs will begin in
January.
5. The Hommocks Park Ice Rink once again hosted the Town of Mamaroneck Fire
Department's Toy Drive on Sunday, December 7th
6. A copy of November, 2014 general public rink attendance numbers was enclosed
for review.
7. Our Groupon.com deal is currently running with 972 already sold for a total of
$6,910. This money will be deposited into Rink General Admissions.
8. Power Volleyball started on December 3rd at the Hommocks gym.
9. The second session of Paint Escape was a success with 20 enrolled.
10.The Fashion Design and Sewing for Your Doll program concluded with a fashion
show on December 1st
11.The Carpino-Steffens Fields were aerated, top-dressed, seeded and fertilized on
November 24th. The fields are now closed until April.
12.The Recreation staff is currently working on the Spring/Summer brochure. The
goal is to have it online and out to all residents in early March. Registration is set
to begin on March 16th
13.We received a grant from USA Hockey for 50% of the cost of a new set of cross

SUPERINTENDENT'S UPDATE CONTINUED:
15.On November 21st, the new awning over the front doors of the ice rink was
installed.
16.New heater units will be installed on the beam detectors at the ice rink due to
prior false alarms. The new heater units will help to keep them dry and prevent
future false alarms.
17.The Mondo rubber flooring is starting to buckle against the dasher boards. The
radiant heat tubes over the bleachers are being adjusted to divert the heat away
from the rink itself in case this is the cause.
18.The Capital Projects that were approved for 2015 include the following:
1. Rehabilitation of Mushroom Pool at Hommocks $9,700
2. Replacement of Controllers — Outdoor Pool $4,000
3. Replacement of FIBAR Material — Sheldrake Playground $5,300
4. Replacement of Pole Tent — Hommocks Camp $10,000
5. Installation of LED Fixtures — Exterior of Ice Rink $11,000
19.Invoices will go out to the Mamaroneck School District and Larchmont Jr. Soccer
League for reimbursement of one third of all field maintenance costs.
20.A fence has been installed around the new exterior water condensing tower at
the ice rink.
21.Steve Altieri, Jill Fisher, Dr. Roberts Shaps, School Superintendent and Village of
Mamaroneck officials met on November 17th to discuss how both municipalities
might be able to help Co-op Camp with afternoon programming. With the large
numbers and the timing involved, we are not sure what assistance we can
provide at this time.
22.New exterior signs for the ice rink have been ordered. They will take 5 weeks to
reproduce.
23.A petition to reinstate the Friday evening pool hours has been passed around at
the Hommocks pool by a pool patron. The petition has approximately 30
signatures. The Town Supervisor has asked us to contact the School District on
the possibility of this matter.
24.Mr. Michael Constantine, Director of Summit Soccer has retired from teaching
our summer soccer camp program. We have filled the late summer schedule
with additional sport program offerings.
REQUEST FROM NEW ROCHELLE YMCA:
On November 24th, we received a request from the New Rochelle YMCA to see if we
could be of assistance since their pool was unexpectedly closed down. Due to the short
notice, we allowed New Rochelle YMCA members to come to the Hommocks Pool
showing their YMCA membership pass and pay our guest fees until the end of
December. Superintendent Fisher recommended extending this agreement until the
end of March. This will be revisited again in the future if needed. The Commission
unanimously agreed with this request.
REQUEST FROM MR. JAMES COADY:
A request was received from Mr. James Coady, MYHA, requesting to rent the Cut Hut
space for the 2015 season for storage. Superintendent Fisher recommended that the
fee be waived for this area since MYHA rents so much ice from the Town. Rob Lunde
has agreed to build MYHA some additional storage space for next season. The
Commission unanimously agreed with this request.

INCREASE SENIOR CITIZEN AGE AND PERMIT FEES:
After a brief discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Morello, seconded by
Commissioner Paonessa, to increase the senior citizen age eligibility from age 60 to 62
and over and to increase the recommended senior citizen permit fee an additional $10.
The Commission unanimously approved this request.
RESTRUCTURE OF POOL PERMITS:
Due to a decline in pool permit revenue, new pool permit classifications have been
created to provide more options for both residents and nonresidents throughout the
year. Non residents would now be able to purchase a year round pool permit. Non
resident permits will be sold in limited quantities as follows: Family permits are limited to
50 passes and Individual/Senior Citizens are limited to 100 passes. Residents, Rye
Neck Residents and Non Residents will have 3 pass options: 12 month pass, School
Year Pass (Valid September- Mid-June, 9.5 months), Winter Pass (Valid January -
Mid-June , 5.5 months). This will be on a 1 year trial basis. After a brief discussion, a
motion was made by Commissioner Paonessa, seconded by Commissioner Plansky.
