Approval of"minutes" June 25 meeting-approved 2. Interim Plan - review edited version a. Started editing —we ask all members to edit in track changes and forward to Nancy asap b. Title—Plan for a Sustainable and Resilient Mamaroneck, addressing Sustainability, Resiliency and Quality of life—(The Plan) 3. Letter to Nancy and Board - review edited version a. Started editing—we ask all members to edit and forward to Tony Gelber asap 4. The Plan - Focus on Initiatives Vs. Goals objectives - at this time e.g. a. Advocacy and Education b. Resiliency and Electrical Power c. Walkable/Bike able Community d. Zero Waste e. Green Infrastructure f. Green Buildings g. Other 5. Columbia Capstone Project- discussion a. 3 Projects reached finalist status i. Developing Cost Effective Solutions to meet wastewater and stormwater mandates ii. Developing a 21'Century Energy and Infrastructure System for the Howell Park Residents and the adjacent Shopping Malls iii. Developing and Implementing a Walkable/Bike able Community b. What do we want; need to get out of this project? i. Specific solutions—fundamental part of the project ii. The process—interaction with Town Admin, Collab, Other iii. Outcomes—specific to each project c. What does Columbia need to get out of this project i. Challenging environmental and business problem d. Other—Mitch and Tony will be speaking with Columbia prof this Friday to narrow selection of projects and scopes e. We may want to submit only 2 project proposals—Solutions for Wastewater and storm water mandates and 21st Century Infra and Energy for Howell Park. 6. Events- Discussion a. Concerts -thank you Beth, Nancy Steve A, staff, Board members i. Went well zero waste and walk bike map/discussion ii. We will repeat our Zero Waste and Bike Initiative at the next concert 1. Tony may give a "quiz"or shout out to people who bike and or recycle well b. LMC TV Bike friendly Community-Thank you Stephen M, Erik and LMC staff 7. Next Steps a. complete Interim Plan and letter and distribute b. Submit proposal to Columbia c. Plan for the Fall 8. Next Meeting— Tuesday,July 29, 6 PM at the VFW 1 ToM Sustainability Collaborative — Meeting Agenda —July 15. 2014 9.
