21.A copy of the latest rendering of the proposed ice rink locker room/shower was
handed out at the meeting. This new plan which was created by the user's
committee includes 6 locker rooms but not all locker rooms have access to a
restroom and shower. This design creates possible issues with Title IX due to
the inequality of access of the restroom and shower facilities. Therefore, we
need to address this concern of equal access before moving forward. The
Commission expressed concerns of having 6 locker-room instead of 4 larger
ones. The Commission would also like to see more showers to be
incorporated into the plans.
