FOLOW UP TO MR. RALPH ENGEL MEMORIAL PARK REQUEST:
As a follow up to Mr. Engel's request, Recreation Department personnel met with two
companies that specialize in playground equipment and its installation. Unfortunately,
both companies have stated that the existing space that we have to work with is not
feasible for the addition of any additional equipment on site for this age group. We had
looked at the entire park area and the space where the existing sand box was however,
both companies have advised us that due to our existing site factors, equipment layout
and travel patterns, we do not have the area necessary to include a new toddler piece
of apparatus and maintain compliance. After a brief review, on a motion by Chairman
Druker, seconded by Commissioner Paonessa, the request was unanimously denied.
Ms. Fisher was asked to respond back to Mr. Engel on this matter.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business to come before the Commission, on a motion by
Chairman Druker, seconded by Commissioner Orans, the meeting adjourned at
7:55 P.M.
