HomeMy WebLinkAbout1927_03_18 Town Board Minutes I MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD TOWN OF MAMARONECN held, March 18th, 1927. Ir The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton at 9 :00 P. M. PRESENT: Supervisor Burton, Justices Howell , Leeds Town Clerk Sherman. Upon motion it was voted to dispense with the reading of minutes of meetings not yet approved. The Clerk stated that pursuant to notice duly advertised the Board should nonv consider applications for building permits which had been denied as being in violation of the Zoning Ordinance. Upon reading of the notice as advertised and after discussing and c ms idering the various applications and plans for building permits before the Board, it was upon motion duly seconded, unanimously RESOLVED, Whereas , the Town Board of the Town of Mamaroneck has duly adver- tised pursuant to law, a public meeting for the purpose of considering certain applications t srein stated , made under the Zoning Ordinance of the unincorpor- ated part of the Town of Mamaroneck, which applications are now pending, and 7JHEREA3 , the said Town Board having held said hearing and both parties having been granted the pr iv it ege of appearing for and/ or in opposition to the granting of certain applications as provided under the said Zoning Ordinance and after due con- sideration, therefore be it RESOLVED , that the Town Board of the Town of Mamaroneck, sitting jointly as a Board of Appeals and as a Town Board does hereby grant the f ollowing applications from the decision of the Building Commission, which decision is hereby reversed and does here- by consent to the granting of the follow- ing appli cat ions subject In each respect- iVe case to the specific conditions and safeguards therein stated: 1. Application #896 of Domenico Lociano for the erection of a one family dwelling on the south side of Forest Ave-me, 136 feet from 'geaver Street, provided that the said building is erected not less than 2.6 feet from the side lot line , 25 feet fruit the front lbt line and in accordance with the plot plan filed covering lots Nos. 38-39-40 , Map #2 Colonial Park. 2. Application #933 of 0. Farmizza for the erection of a one family dwelling and garage on the southeast comer of _v1 Rockingstone Avenue and Glen Road, provided that the building is erected not less than 24 feet from the front lot line on Glen Road. 3. Alteration application #84 of R. T. Reinhardsen for the erection of an addition to a one family on the northeast corner of East Brookside Drive and Little Farms Road, provided said addition is erected not less than 26 feet from the front - lot line . And be it further RD,ESOLVED, tha t th e f oll o wing a ppl i cat ions be laid over for further consideration: 1. Application of Hillside Holding Corporation for the erection of a multi car garage on the south side of Myrtle Aveme, 70 feet west from Chatsworth Avenze. The Supervisor reported that application had been made to him by the Christian Science Church for permission to use the Town Hall for Sunday school purposes on Sunday mornings. Upon mot ion filly seconded , it was RESOLVED, that the application by the Christian Science Church f or the use of the Town Hall f or Sunday School purposes on Sunday mornings , be and the same is hereby referred to the -- Committee on Tom Hall with poeoer to act therein. The Town Clerk on behalf of the Special Committee appointed to advertise for bids for the demolition of the Girenda propefty, reported that the Committee received no bids , althoug a noticetherefor had been published twice in the Daily Times and Larcwnont Times. Upon motion duly made ani seconded, the report of the Special Committee was ordered received noted in the minutes and the Committee was ordered continued.
