PRESENT: Supervisor Burton Justices CollinS,Howell,Leeds -- Town Clerk Sherman Counsellor Gamble. Upon motion, it was voted to dispense with the reading of minutes of meetings not yet approved. The chairman stated that the meeting had been called in accordance with a resolution of the Town Board heretofore adopted to receive bids in connection with the reconstruction of the floor of the lWeaver Street Fire House. The Clerk, read the notice and said that the same had been duly published. Upon motion, duly seconded it was RESOD, that the call and notice of the meeting, the report of the ClerwO�and the same hereby are in all respects approved. The Chairman asked if there were any bidders present who desired to be heard in connection with their bids. There being none, the Chairman stated that unless there was an objection, the Clerk would proceed to open the bids received. There being no objection, the Clerk proceeded to open the bids received, which, were as follows: Bidder Section A. Section R Amount 'm. E.Iyon Iron works F 2659 $ $ Chas.G.Maiolino 4300 3270.30 r"_caws-porn Bros. 8400. Helling Barns Inc. 5863 3177. all of which bids were on the form of proposals and complied with the conditions as specified in the proposals. The Clerk also opened and read bids in letter form from the following,: Bidder Section A Section B Amount Sanger 2500. ^� Rubin & Cohen 1650. which bids were partial only and did not comply with the notice to bidders and were therefore irregular. Lyon, one of the bidders present asked to have his objection recorded to the awarding of the contracts to either of the parties who had presented irregular bids. The Chairrna.n stated that his objection would be recorded. Justice Leeds of the Fire Committee stated that he lelieved the Board should consult with the engineers who had prepared the specifications prior to awarding the bid. Upon motion duly seconded, it was RESOLVED, that the bids be received and the Board consider same and to defer the awarding of the contract until the next regular meeting of the Board to be held on February 2nd,1927. _ Counsel advised the Board that in accordance with the resolution heretofore passed by the Town Board at its meeting held Recember 15,1926, providing for the payment of certain taxes due by the Village of Larchmont and/or the Larchmont water Company on property located in the disputed boundary line area, said payments had been received by the Receiver of Taxes. He stated that the resolution covering the payment to be made by the Larchmont water Commpany provided said payments was to be made prior to December 31st,1926, and had been inserted by him simply to expedite the payment; that due to an unavoidable delay in the office of the Title Compares payment had not been received by the Receiver of Taxes until after said date. He recommended that said resolut- ion be amended be changing the date of said resolution) Upon motion, duly seconded, it was RESOLVED, that the resolution heretofore adopted by this Board on December 15th, 1926, providing for the payment of taxes by the village of Larchmont and/or the Larchmont water Company on the water *works property located in the disputed boundary line area, be and the same hereby is amended so as to strike from that part of Said resolution providing for the payment of taxes due for the years 3910 to 1921 inclusive, the date December 31st,1926 and to substitute therefor January 31st, 1927 ; and it was further RESOLVED, that said resolution remain in full force except as herein amended. The Supervisor advised the Board that at the request of the Equalization Committee of the Board of Supervisors had,together with a member of the Board of Assessors,attended a meeting of the State Tax Commission in regard to equalization matters held at Albany on January 18th,1927 and that said meeting had been adjourned to January 27th and 28th, which adjourned meeting it would also be necessary for him to attend, together with a member of the :Board of .Assessors. Upon motion duly seconded, it was RESOLVED, that the action of the Supervisor in attending a meeting at Albany of the State - Tax Commission together with a member of the Board of 9.ssessors on January 18th,1927 be approved; and it was FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Supervisor and a member of the Board of Assessors be and hereby are requested to attend further meetings of said Commission now called to be held on January 27th and 28th and acY further meetings which may thereafter be held; and it was \/\ FURTHER RESCLVEL, that the expenses of e t a pervisor and cambers of the Foald of Asessors in attending said maatini� be and hereby are made projor Town CharESS an! that raimbursevents be nade therefor on ;resentation of prnper Town Claiz. Upon motion the meeting adjourned at 5 . 30 P .H.
