FETING OF THE TOWN BOARD
TOWN OF MAMARONECK
held October 14th, 1926.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor
Burton at 8.50 P.M.

Upon motion it was voted to dispense with the
reading of minutes of meetings not yet approved.
The Clerk stated that the meeting was called
pursuant to notice duly advertised to consider applications
for building permits which had been denied by the Building
Commission as being in violation of the Zoning Ordinance.
After considering and discussing in full the
various applications and plans for building permits before
the Board, it was upon motion duly seconded unanimously
RESOLVHD Whereas the Town Board of the
Town of Mamaroneck has duly advertised
-- pursuant to law a public meeting for the
purpose of considering certain applications
therein stated made under the Zoning
Ordinance of the Unincorporated Part of the
Town of Mamaroneck which applications
are now pending, and
VIADU AS the said Town Board having held
said hearing and those parties appearing
for and/or in opposition to the granting
of saidapplications as provided under the
said Zoning Ordinance and after due consider-
ation, therefore be it
RESOLVED thatthe Town Board of the Town of
Mamaroneck, sitting jointly as a Board of
Appeals and as a Town Bo ard do and hereby
does grant the following applications from
the decision of the Building Commission
which decision is herein reversed and does
hereby consent to the granting of the
following applications, subject in each
respective case to thespecific conditions
and safeguards therein stated:
1. Application of Mitchell Lanza for the erection
of a one family dwelling on the west side of Murray Avenue
335 feet north from Glen Road, provided that the said
building is erSeted 22 feet from the street lines.
2. Application of Michael Doherty for the erection
of a five car garage on the southwest corner of the Boston
Post Road and Premium River Road 75 feet from the Boston
Post Road, in an Unclassified district.

3. Application of Hari.mo Corporation(Owen Mandeville )
for the erection of a private dwelling on the southwest
corner of Harmony Drive and Alden Road, provided the said
building is erected 24 1/4 feet from the street line on
Harmiong Drive.
AITD IT WAS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town
Clerk be and he hereby is authorized and
directed to certify the action of this
Town Board to the Building Commission.
Justices Leeds and Collins, the Committee to whom
was referred alteration application No. 36 of Charles
Schoonmaker for the erection of a2stnry garage on Locust
Street reported that they had inspected the premises and
recommended to the 'Town Board that the application be
denied on the grounds that the proposed building would be
a fire hazard.
AS the recommendation of the Committee, it
was upon motion duly seconded
RESOLVED thatthe alteration application
of Charles .Shoonmaker, No. 36, for the
erection of a 2 story garage on Locust
Street, be and the same hereby* is denied.
The Committee on police matters submitted sketch
drawings for the erection of a police booth at the inter-
section of Chatsworth and Myrtle Avenues.
A£tet due consideration and discussion, it was
—. upon motion duly seconded
RESOLVED that it is the sense of this
Board that the Committee be and they
hereby are authorized and empowered to
receive bids for the erection of a police
booth at the intersection of Chatsworth
and Myrtle Avenues at an expenditure of
not more than $1250.00, and that they
submit these bids to the Town Board for
its consideration.
A communication from Mr.Joseph H.McLoughlin,
Building Inspector of the Town of Mamaroneck, was received
and read, tendering his resignation as Building Inspector
owing to thepressure of personal business interests.
After due consideration, it was upon motion duly
seconded
RESOLVED that the communication be received
placed on file and that the resignation of
Mr. Joseph H. McLoughlin as Building
Inspector of the Town of mRmaroneck be and
the same hereby is accepted-, effective
October 31, 1926; and be it further
RESOLVED that the same be accepted with a
vote of regret and that the Board extend its
best wishes to Mr. M cLoughlin forhis
services rendered.
Mr. H. J. Brewer on behalf of the Building Commission
recommended to the Town Board the appointment of Stanley
Miller, a citizen and resident of the Town of Mamaroneck
as Building Inspector to succeed Mr. McLoughlin.

Upon motion duly seconded, it was upon Roll Call
unanimously
RESOLVT) that the Town Board do and it
hereby does appoint Stanley Miller, a
citizen and resident of the Town of
Mamaroneck, building inspector for the
Unincorporated section of the Town of
Mamaroneck, commencing November 1, 1926
for the remainder of the term of office
and that his compensation as said
building inspector be fixed at the rate
of $2250.00 per year.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned at 11.30 P.M.
