PRESENT: Supervisor Burton Justices Boyd,Collins,Rosell & Deeds Town Clerk Sherman Counsellor Gamble The Supervisor stated that the meeting had been called for the purpose of opening bids for the rsM07al of ssill, garbage, ashes etc. from the buildings in the fire, light and eater supply district #1 of the Town of Mamaroneck and fire district #2 of the TaGn of Mamaroneck. The Clerk read the call of the meeting, and upon motion duly seconded, it was RESOLVED, that the call of the meeting be approved. Upon motion duly seconded, it was RESOLVED, that the Board nou proceed to open the aforesaid bids . The Cleric then proceeded to open and mead the bids, each of thich Aas accompanied by a duly certified check Q bid bond as provided in the advertisement and specificatione. . Diamond 1,800.00 3,000.00 At this time Justice Hovel! *as excused from the meeting on account of illness. Counsel for Euclid. Brondoli addressed the Board and requested that his bids be rejected because of an apparent error in the amount bid, stating twat the amount for two years should have been $24,000. instead of $12,000. for the fire district and that his bid for fire district #2 should have been $4.000. instead of $2,000. Upon motion duly seconded it vas voted that the bids of Euclid Broncoli be and they ,hereby are rejected as requested by his Counsel. Upon motion duly seconded, it was RESOLVED, that the Board now go into executive session to tabulate the bids received and consider the awarding of the contract. - After executive session, the Board then reconvened and the Supervisor stated that the Board had considered all the bids and were not read;* to make the award. Upon ::notion duly seconded, it was upon Poll Call unanimously, RESOLVED, that WHEREAS, this Board has duly advertised for bids for the removal and disposition of still, gmrbage,ashes etc . from buildings in the fire, light and water supply district 7"1 of the Tonn of Mamaroneck, and HEREAS, the bid of Edwin S. Diamond is the lowest bid submitted for such contract, which bid is deemed best to accept in the interests of the Town of Mwna.roneck, NO17, THEREFORE, BE IT REVOLVED, that the bid of Edwin S. Diamond for the removal and disposition of swill, garbage and ashes from buildings in the fire , light and water supply district #1 of the Town of Vkmaroneck to make said removal at a price of $23,200.for the period of two years commencing July 101926, be accepted upon said Edwin S. Diamond complying with all the terms and con- ditions of said bid., proposal and specifications- executing a contract with the Town of Mamaroneck in accordance therewith and filing the necessary bonds and insurance policies as provided in said advertisement, proposal and specifications, all in forms satisfactory to Counsel, and be it further i RESOLVED, that said contract be entered into for a period of two years from July 1,1926 to tune 30 , 1928, and that Counsel be authorized and directed to prepare the necessary contract and be it further REVOLVED, that the Supervisor and Town Clerk be and they hereby are authorized, directed and empowered to execute the aforesaid contract on behalf of the Toun when in form satisfactory to ,Counsel and to affix the corporate seal thereto and to do any and all acts and take any and all steps which in their judgment may be deemed necessary to carry the aforesaid resolution into full force and effect, and be it further RESCIVED, that the bids of all other bidders be rejected and the Town Clerk be authorized and directed to return the bids and bid bonds to all other bidders upon receiving their receipt therefor. Upon motion: duly seconded, it was upon Roll Call unanimously RESOLVED, that WHEREAS, this Board has duly advertised for bids for the removal and disposition of s.ill, garbage, ashes etc. from buildings in the fire district #2 of the Town of Yamaronec k,and 7SEAS, the bid of Frank Carullo is the lowest bid submitted for such contract, v ich bid it is deemed best to accept in the interests of the Tesnn of Mamaroneck. ivOSY, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the bid of Frank CarUllc for the removal and disposition of svill8 garbage and ashes from building's in fire district #2 of the Town of Mamaroneck, to male said removal at a price of $3,1.00. for the period of two years commencing July 1,1926, be accepted upon said Frank Carullo complying Frith all the terms and c ond.itions of said bid, proposal and specifications , executing a contract •pith the Tarn of Mamaroneck in accordance therewith and filing the necessary bonds and insurance policies as provided in said advertisement, proposal and specifications, all in forms satisfactory to Counsel , and be it further RESC2;VED9 t'nat said contract be entered into for a period of two ;pears from July 1, 1925 to June 308 1925, and that Counsel be authorized and directed to prepare the necessary contract; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor and Town Clerk be and they hereby are aut.hopiaed, directed and empa ered to execute the aforesaid contract on behalf of the Town hen in form satisfactory to Counsel and to affix the corporate sea.! thereto and to do any and all acts and take any and all steps which in their judgment may be deemed necessary to carry the aforesaid resolution into full force and effect; and be it further RESOLVED, that the bids of all other bidders be rejected and the Tomn Clerk be authorized and directed to return the bids and bid bonds to all otter bidders upon receiving their receipt therefor. The Supervisor reported that he had received a communication from the Hillside Holding Corporation, together 7ith a deed Conveying to the To"n of Mamaroneck a stria of land. on Murray Avenue thirty(30) feet in Width and more than four hundred (400) feet in length. He requested that a. resolution be adopted accepting the deed of conveyance and expressing a vote of thanks to the _ Hillside Holding Corporation. and that as an act of courtesy Ex. Frank M. Gagliardi, Counsel for the Hillside Holding Corporation, be requested to file the deed in the County y Register's office. Upon *,potion duly seconded, it was upon Roll Call _ on RESOLVED, that a vote of thanks be extended on behalf of the Torn of Mamaroneck to the Hillside Holding Corporation, expressing its appreciation for the dedication of the property mentioned in the deed of conveyance; and be it further RESOLVED, that Mr. Frank M. Gagliardi® Counsel for the Hillside Holding Cor- poration, be requested to file said deed of conveyance in the office of the County Register of Westchester County, New Yorkj and be it further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and empowered to drat a check in the amount of $100 for the payment of said transaction; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Clerk be authorized to transmit a letter of appreciation to the Hillside Holding Corporation. Upon motion, the meeting adjourned at 10.50 P.M. lark.
