PRESENT: Supervisor Burton justices Bcyd, Collins,Howell & Leeds _ Town Clerk Sherman Counsellor Gamble The meeting was c a'led for the purpose of hear- ing taxpayers desirous of being heard in relation to the alterations to the Town Hall. It was suggested by the Supervisor that a period of fire minutes be allotted to each speaker for the purpose of hearing the preliminary discussions. The following were present representing their respective associations:- Chamber of Commerce- Messrs. Shongut, Stilwell, Kane & Goodwin L js Clu b of Mamaroneck- Mr. H.P.B:rewer Hoyjsll Park Association- Messrs. Williams,Perrin and Bray I,a.rc_ti,ont Gardens Association- Meeess, lord and A1lertor ('1a sv rtlti 4s socistain= 2essrsNeginnes, Sie-mpson and Edwards L_i'®as Club of Zarchmont® Mr. Merritt Also present was PJf;^® Clifford of Ed,gev;a od Road. The majority of those present addressed the 'ward. Some of those present favored the proposition altering the Torre Hall on its present site, while others recommended the moving of the Town Hall to a more central point of the To wn in the vicinity of ` saver Street. After a full And lengthy discussion of the entire matter, the following resolution was presented by Mr. Kane and seconded by MT. Shcngut: RESOLVED, that the project of altering the Town Half, be referred to the ToUln Board for their further consideration and that a vote of absolute confidence be given in the judgment of the Board and that they be requested to submit the entire; proposition to the voters At the earliest possible moment. The question being taken upon the foregoing resolu- tion the same was unanimously adopted. Upon motion the hearing closed at 10.40 P.M. I
