PRESENT: Supervisor Burton Justices Boyd, Collins,Howell & Deeds Town. Clerk Sherman Counsellor Dam9le. Upon motion it was voted to dispense with the reading of minutes of meetings not yet approved. Upon the recommendation of the supervisor, the following resolution was presented and upon. Roll Call unanimously adopted WHEREAS, this Board has received from the Receiver of Taxes of this Town a statement under: the provisions of Section 28 of the Westchester County TaxAct9 from which it appears that on April 1, 1916, the sure of 35 �J07,08 as outstanding and unpaid for� School Taxes of Union Free School District No. 1 of the Town of Mamaroneck, N,y®, which were levied on September 19 — 1925; and WHEREAS, the supervisor has requested this Board to authorize tht issuance and sale of one or more temporary certificates of indebtedness not exceeding in the aggregate said sum of $35, 307®089 being the amount reported by said Receiver of Taxes to be uncollected and outstanding on April is 1926® as aforesaid, NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisionsosor the Westchester County Tax , b0 and he hereby is authorized and empowered to borrow upon the faith and credit of the Town of Mamaroneck, the said suss of $35, 907.06 for which sus; he shall .issue in the name and under the seal of said Town against uncollected School taxes levied by Union Free School District No. 1 of said To=wn of M&ma,roneck,Nj< on September 1, 1925, cne or move certificates of indebtedness each in such denomination as the Supervisor may determine, not exceeding in the aggregate the said stint of $35, 307.0'6, which shall bear interest at a rate of not more than 6% per annum and shall be made payable at such time amd the Supervisor may determine, but not later than November 1, 1927. Said certificates of indebtedness shall be signed by the Supervisor and countersigned by the Town Clerk; and be it further RESODVED, that the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and empowered to dispose of said certificates of indebtedness for not less than _ . __ t the par value thereof; and it is further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor and Tovrn Clerk be and they hereby are authorized and empowered to sign and execute such papers -- as may be necessary to effect the sale of said certificates. Upon the recommendation of the Supervisor the following resolution was presented and upon Roll Call unanimously adopted WHEREAS, this Board has received from the Receiver of Tares of this Town a statement under the provisions of Section 26 of the Westchester County Tar Act, from which it appears that on April 1, 1926, the suns. of $20, 047.46 was outstanding and unpaid for State, County, Town and District taxes, which were levied on April 1,1925; and WHEREAS, the Supervisor has requested this Board to authorize the issuance and sale of one or more temporary certificates of indebtedness not exceeding in theaggregate said suit of $20® 047. 96, being the amount reported by said Receiver of Taxes to be uncollected hnd outstanding on April 1, 1926; as aforesaid NOW, THFORsE, be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the Westchester County TarAct, the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and empowered to borrow upon the faith and credit of the Town of Mamaroneck, the said sure of $20904:7.96 for which sum he shall issue in the name and under the seal of said Town against uncollected State, Count:Y, Town and Districts tares levied on April 1,2925, one or more certificates of indebtedness, each insmah denomination as the Supervisor may determine, not exceeding in the aggregatee the said sum of 20, 047,96, ;which shall bear interest at a rate of not more than 6% per annum and shall be made payable at such time as the Supervisor may determine, but not later than Noverriaer 1, 1927® Said certificates of indebtedness shall be signed by the Supervisor and countersigned by the Town Clerk; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor he and he hereby is authorized and empowered to dispose of said certificates of indebtedness for not less than the par value thereof; and it is further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor and Town Clerk be and they hereby are authorized and empowered to sign and execute such papers as may be necessary to effect the sale of said certificates. Upon the recommendation of the Supervisor, the following resolution was presented and upon Roll Call unanimously adopted WHEREAS, this Board has received from the Receiver ofTaxes of this Town, a statement under the provisions of 0ection 28 of the Westchester County TaxAct, from which it -- appears that on April 1,1926® t e sure of $7,10.27 was outstanding and unpaid for School taxes which were levied on September 1, 1924; and WHEREAS, the Supervisor has requested this Board to authorize the issuance and sale of one or more temporary certificates Of indebtedness not exceeding in the aggregate said sum of $7, 178.27, being the amount reported by said Receiver of Taxes to be uncollected and outstanding on April 1, 1926; as aforesaid N®W, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the Westchester County TaxAct, the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and empowered to borrow upon the faith and credit of the Town of Mamaroneck the said sum of $$7,178.27 for which sum he shall, issue in the name and under the seal of said Town against uncollected School taxes levied on Septemberl, 1924, one or more certificates of indebtedness each in such denomination as the Supervisor may determine, not exceeding in the aggregate the said sums of $7, 178.279 which shall bear interest at a rate of not more than 6% per annum and shall be made payable at such time as the Supervisor may determine, but not later than November 1, 1927. Said certificate of indebtedness shall be signed by the Supervisor and countersigned by the Town Clerk; and it is further RESOLVED, that the Bupervisor be and he hereby is authorized and empowered to dispose of said certificates of indebtedness for not less than the par value thereof; and it is further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor and Town Clerk be and they hereby are authorized and empowered to sign and execute such papers as may be necessary to effect the sale of said certificates. The Committ6e on Town Hall presented revised preliminary sketches for the alteration and reconstruction of the Town Hall on Prospect Avenue to the Town Board. Mir. 0. Bray on behalf of residents of the unincorporated part of the Town of Mamaroneck requested that no action be taken in the alteration of the Town Hall on its present --- site and stated that the sentiment of the taxpayers within the unincorporated section was in favor of erecting a Town Hall within that district. H e requested permission to submit tentative sketches of a Town Hall in that locality. Upon motion duly seconded it was voted that the matter of alteration and reconstruction be laid over until play 12, 1926, at which time Mr. Bray was requested to submit to the Town Board any data and information in relation to a Town Hall for the unincorporated section of the Town. The Supervisor reported on the present status of the boundary line controversy between the To= of Mamaroneck and the City of New Rochelle, that a survey which was to be prepared by the Town of Mamaroneck had been completed and that the :natter would be acted upon WY the Board of Supervisors at its meeting to be held on May 3, 1956. Upon motion duly seconded, it was RESCLSTED, that the report of the Supervisor be accepted; and it was further RES®L 0, that haven, as and if the boundary line between the Town of Mamaroneck and the City of New Rochelle is definitely fixed by the Boa.^d of Supervisors, that the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized, empowered and directed to have the aforesaid line monumented by engineers in accordance with the reap upon which said line is determined and to have the necessary copies of said map prepared., certified and delivered to the Board of assessors for the use of said Board in connection with the assessment of property. - - Upon= motion the meeting adjourned at 12.15 P.M.
