held December 17th, 1931.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton at 8 P. IL
Present. Supervisor Burton
Justices Boyd, Collins, Leeds and Messersmith
Town Clerk Marvin
The presence was also noted of Special Counselor Frank 12.
Gagliardi and Counselor Ralph A. Gamble..
The Supervisor stated that it wax in order for the Town Hoard
to make an itemized statement I writing of the estimated revenues and
expenditures of the town for the fiscal year of 1932,, for which estimates
were filed with the Town Clerk, to be known as its annual estimate and
that in accordance with the laws the Board should first take a record
vote on the salary items proposed to be included in the budget.
Upon motion by Justice Leeds, seconded by Justice Collins,
it was upon roll call, Justice Boyd not voting, unanimously
RESOLVED, that the salary of Justice Boyd be and it
hereby is fixed in the amount of $3600.00 per annum
in lieu of all fees, charges, claims or compensation
whatsoever.,
Upon motion by Justice Leeds, seconded by Justice Collins,
-_ it wus upon roll call, Justice Messersmith not voting, unanimously
RFSOL"JED, that the scary of Justice Messersmith be and
it hereby is fixed in the amount of $3600.00 per annum
in lieu of all fees, charges , claims or compensation
whatsoever.
Upon motion by Justice Leeds, seconded by Justice Collins ,
it was upon roll call unanimously
RNSOLVBD, that the scary of Justice Burbank be and it
hereby is fixed in the amount of $3600.00 per annum in
lieu of all fees, charges, claims or compensation
whatsoever.
Upon motion by Justice Messersmith, seconded by Justice Collins,
it was upon roll call, Justice Leeds not voting, unanimously
RESOLVED, that the salary of Justice Leeds he and it
hereby is fixed in the amount of $3600.00 per annum
in lieu of all fees, charges, claims or compensation
whatsoever.
Justice Collins proposed a salary of $10,000.00 per annum for
the Supervisor in lieu of all fees and other compensation, but at the
- earnest request of the Supervisor, he agreed to substitute the amount
of x$"9600..00 in the place of $101,000.00.
Upon motion by Justice Collins, seconded by Justice Leeds, it
was upon roll call, Supervisor Burton not voting, unanimously
RESOLVE.➢, that the salary of the Supervisor be and
it hereby is fixed in the amount of $9600.00 per
annum in lieu of all fees, charges, claims or com-
pensation whatsoever.
Justice Collins proposed a salary of $59000. for the Town Clerk
in lieu of all fees, charges, olaims or compensation but- at the earnest
request of the Town Cler]X, he agreed to substitute the amount of $4800.00
in the place of $5,.000.
Upon motion by Justice Boyd, seconded by Justice Collins,
it was upon roll call unanimously, Town Clerk Marvin not voting,,.
RFSOLVBD, that the salary of the Town Clerk be and
it hereby is fixed in the amount of $4800. per annum
in lieu of all fees, charges, claims or compensation
whatsoever.
Upon motion by Justice Boyd, seconded by Justice Leeds, it
was upon roll call unanimously
FT-SOLVED, that the other officials and employees of the
Town of Mamaroneck be paid the amounts set opposite their
names in the following list, in lieu of all other fees,
charges, claims or compensation whatsoever.
Salary of Secretary to the Supervisor $30600.00
Salary of Office Assistant 2,280.00
Salary of Office Assistant 1,700.00
Receiver of Taxes including his Deputy 69E750.00
Salary of 3 Assessors at $2,900. each 8,700.00
Salary of Janitor, Town Office 600.00
Salary of General Office Assistant 19320.00
Salary of Janitor, Town Hall 900.00
Salary of Chief of Police 3„800.00
Salary of 4 Sergeants at 2,800. each 11,200.00
Salary of 6 patrolmen at 2, 500 each and one
patrolman at $2,120.00 , 9 patrolmen at ?$29400 ea® 388720.00
Salary of Public Welfare Officer 29100.00
Salary of Assistant welfare Officer 1,200.00
Salary of Clerk to the Board of Appeals 500.00
Salary of Chairman of Building Commission 780.00

Salary of Building Inspector 2,600.00
Salary of Town Counsel for routine matters, etc. 49200.00
Salary of three Auditors at $500. each 1,500.00
Salary of Four Firemen:
one at $2,400.00

The Board thereupon considered the estimated probable revenues
and estimated expenditures for the year 1932 for each of the several
departments , offices and other Town and Special district purposes.
Upon motion by Justice Boyd, seconded by Justice Collins, it
was upon roll call unanimously
RT'SOLVFD, that this Board do and it hereby does approve the
following estimated probable revenues and estimated .expenditures for the
several departments, offices and other town and special
district purposes, for the year, 1932, to wit:

The Supervisor thereupon suggested that the tax budget for.
1932 as compiled be filed with the Town Clerk, and that a hearing be
held upon said tax budget as required by Section 146 of the Town Law.
-- Justice Boyd thereupon offered for adoption the following:-

WREREAS this Board has met from time to time since
December 9, 1931 for the purpose of preparing and
compiling a tax budget for the year 1932 containing
an itemized statement of the estimated revenues and
expenditures of the Town of Mamaroneck and of the
various departments and special districtz thereof for
the fiscal year ending December 31, 1932; and
WHTRTAS,: said proposed tax budget and annual estimate
has been duly made and compiled as provided by Article
6—a of the Town Law;
NOW THEREFORE, be it
RESOLV3D9 that a hearing be held upon said proposed
tax budget in the Town Offices, No. 6 Elm Street,
Mamaroneck, New York, on December 30, 1931, at 8:00
otclock F.M. and that notice thereof be posted in six
public places within the Town of Mamaroneck and published,
twice in the Daily Times, a newspaper published in the Town
of Mamaroneck, and in the Port Chester Daily Item, a newspaper
published in the Village of Port Chester and having general
circulation in the Village of Mamaroneck, which are hereby
designated for that purpose, the posting and first public-
ation of which shall be at least 10 days before the date
of such hearing; and it is further
aESOLVED-, that Special Counsel attend to the posting and
publication of said notice.
The question of the adoption of the foregoing resolutions
was put to a vote which resulted as follows :

The Chair declared the resolutions duly adopted.
Upon motion duly made and seconded the Board unanimously
resolved to recess at 11:30 P. M. to meet again at the call of the
Supervisor to take up such matters as might properly come before the
Board.
