The meeting was called to order by :Supervisor Burton at
4 P. K.
Present: Supervisor Burton
Justices Boyd, Collins , Leeds and l`cssersmith
Town Clerk Idarvin
Justice Leeds reported on, the matter of purchasing a
typewriter for the Public 37elfare Officer in accordance with the
request of the Board at a -previous meeting He stated that the
County Budget Commissioner, to whom he had gone for advice , re-
commended purchasing a new Underwood typewriter at a net price not
to exceed = 87.50.
After discussion it was upon motion by Justice Boyd,
seconded by Justice Collins , upon roll call unanimously
RT±YSOLVED} that upon the recomracnd.ation of Justice
-reds on behalf of the special committee heretofore
appointed to consider this matter this Beard do and
it hereby does approve of the purchase of a new
typewriter for the use of the Public Welfare Officer
at a net price not to exceed 1587. 50 , and be it further
RETSOLV?t'D, that the purchasing of this typewriter be
referred to Justice Leeds.
The report of the To-,,-in Clerk for the month of _ugust
1,7as received and placed on file.
The Clerk reouested authorization to publish the usual
notice of registration and other election notices as required by
law.
Upon motion by Justice Collins seconded by Justice Iiesser-
smith, it was upon roll call unanimously
H7.80=2D, that the Clerk be and he hereby is
authorized, directed and empowered to attend
to the publication of the usual notices of
registration and such other notices concerning
elections as are required by law..
The Supervisor suggested that the Clerk be authorized to
pay a suitable and economical compensation to the janitors of the
several -public places used a s polling places for their services
in cleaning up following such use..
Upon motion by Justice !,,Tessersmith, seconded by Justice
Leeds, the matter was upon roll call unanimously referred to the
Town Clerk with po7:7cr.
Upon motion duly made and seconded the Board unanimoAy
resolved to adjourn at 4:20 P. Y.
