I.Trs. Fsther Vitro and Euciide Brondoli addressed the Board in
regard to the petition heretofore presented to the Board requesting
the rezoning from A Residential to C Business of the property on
Myrtle Boulevard lying between Baldwin Street and Thompson Street.
Yrs. Vitro declared she wished to operate a small tea rods
in her house , citing her need for additional income and declaring
that one of her neighbors d.id, a dressmaking business in her home
nearby.
L'•r. Brondoli declared the property was suitable for business
purposes.
The Supervisor pointed out that the petition requesting this
rezoning had been received at a previous meeting and been ordered
laid over. He said that if the petitioners insisted, the Torun Board
would take up the petition again and order a public hearing held as
-required by lair, but that it was his opinion that if the hearing were
held, the Board would net grant the request and would thereby injure
the chances of the petitioners to have the property rezoned at some
-- future date when conditions might be tore favorable for their request.
Various other members of the Board supporter: the Supervisor 's
point of view, saying that if a public hearing were held there would
be so much objection to the petition that the intention of the pe-
titioners mould receive a. serious set back.
After considerable discussion, the petitioners thanked the
Board for hearing them and withdrew without any action being taken
by the 3oa-rd.
