The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton at
a.-30 P. IL
Present: Supervisor Burton

A communication was received dated February 17th, 1931 from
the Neaver Street Fine Company, requesting authorization to pur-
chase necessary equipment at a total cost of $666.00.
Upon motion by Justice Yessersmith, seconded by Justice
Leeds the matter was by roll call unanimously referred to the Fire
House Committee with power to purchase the equipment requested.
The Supervisor presented a letter addressed to him by the
State Conservation Department dated February llth in regard to
the appointment of Fire 'gardens. The matter was ordered referred
to the Supervisor.
A communication was received from the Board of Appeals dated
February llth requesting a budget appropriation of $12500.00,
recommending the reappointment of Fred G. Smith as a member of the
Board of Appeals and recommending ther9ppointment of Leon F.
Williams as Clerk to the Board at a salary of $500. 00 per year,
the amount he is now receiving.
At the -request of the Supervisor, the matter was ordered
received and placed on file>
The Clerk reported that the new maps showing the zoning of
the Town had been received from the Tngineer and that he had
noted several errors thereon. He suggested that a committee be
appointed from the Town Board to examine carefully the new map
for any possible errors before it is definitely approved and
accepted.
The matter was by resolution referred to the Board at large
to include consultation with 7s. Foote , the Engineer.
Communications were received from the Larchmont Hills Corpora-
tion dated February 6th and from F'. A. Yield, 141 Hurray Avenue ,
Larchmont, dated February 4th, complaining of the disposition
and collection of garbage. Both communications were referred to
the Clerk.
The report of the Town Clerk for the month of January was
received and ordered placed an file.
Counsel reported regarding the request of Rouken Glen, Inc. ,
that the taxes heretofore levied against Lot 2 in Block 11 in
Section 1 on the Assessment Iiap of the Town of Mamaroneck in the
amoant of approximately $60. 00 for the years 1926 and 1927 be
marred cancelled as said strip of land having been bought for
street purposes and 'having been so used for street purposes since
the year 1926 and used as a public highway was entitled to ex-
emption and should be cancelled.
He stated that the Board of Assessors recommended that said
taxes be cancelled and that the lot be marked exempt from taxa-
tion so long as used for public highway purposes.
Counsel further stated that Rouken Glen, Inc. showed this
parcel on their map for street purposes only.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was upon roll call
unanimously
RRSOLVB'D, that the Supervisor, the Re-
ceiver of Taxes and the Board of Assessors
be and they hereby are authorized, em-
-- powered and directed to cancel on their
books of record the taxes for the years
1920' and 1927 heretofore levied and
assessed against Lot Yo. 2 in Block 11,
Section 1 on the Assessment Map of the
Town of 1.1amaroneck, said property being
a public 'highway and being used for
highway purposes; further
RESOLVED, that the Board of Assessors
be and they hereby are authorized, em-
powered and directed to mark said lot
as exempt from taxation so long as the
same shall be used as a public highway.
The Clerk recommended that insurance be taken out to
cover the lettering on the plate glass windows of the 'Town office.
The matter was ordered referred to the Clerk wit;. poser.
The Clerk inouired if the Board wished to take action on
the appointment of a +dog enumerator. The matter was ordered laid
over..
A communication was received from the County Transportation
Company, dated February 10th, enclosing the annual report called
for by the consent granted the Company by the Town. The report
was ordered -received and placed on file.
The Supervisor presented his annual report for the fiscal
year ending December 31st, 1930 and requested that publication be
authorized as required by Law.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was upon roll
call unanimously
RE'SOLVE'D, that the annual report of the
Supervisor for the fiscal year ending
December 31st, IfiIa be accepted and
published one time in the Daily Times
according to Law.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, the Board unanimously
resolved to adjourn at 4:30 P. 17.
