Neumeister to coordinate removal of trees once they have been cut up by Town crews. Richbell
Cemetery at Harbor Island Park is overgrown, needs to have boundaries surveyed.
B. Water Monitoring Consultants' Briefing- B. Hohberg reported to the Village of Mam'k
regarding the pollution levels observed in the Guion Creek. On 813, samples taken near the drain
by the old Continental Manor was analyzed to contain 2,400,000 organisms/ 100 ml in both coliform
and fecal count, indicative of raw sewage. The ratio of fecal coliform to fecal strep is 5.5, clearly
indicates sewage pollution of the Guion Creek at the G2 drain site. Upstream, a walking inspection
of the existing drainage system was conducted. The manhole on Frank Ave., upstream of Lorena
Street exhibited free flowing water from the direction of Florence Street. The water here should be
sampled and test dyed. K. O'Flinn to contact Mayor Lanza to inquire who in the Town of Rye has
been contacted.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
