Burton Justices Bcy>d, Collins , Leeds and Yeasersmit' Toter Clerk Hargis: Upon Motion, duly seconded, it was voted" to dispense with the reading of the minutes of meetings not yet approved. Justice Collins reported for the special committee named to consider the reaommer_dations of Captain Bray of the ':Weaver Street Fire Company in his letter of Ely 5th in regard to improvements and additions for the fire protection service. He said that he had met together with Justices Leeds and Messersmith of the committee and Captain Bray on Pray 12th and after going over each item carefully the Committee reported in favor of all the recommendations. Stem No. 1 on the list- of recommendations urging the addition of two more paid fire '.en, occasioned considerable discussion by the Board. Finally it was, upon motion duly made and seconded, and upon roll call unanimously RESOLVED, that items 2, 5$ 4 and 5 in the letter of Captain Bray of May 5thj be and they hereby are approved and accepted as reported by the committee and that item one, concerting two a.dditional paid fire- men/t% be laid over for further consideration; and that the Clerk be directed to secure com- parative figures in regard to paid firemen .. from other Westchester Communities. A communication from his. Catherine Fogarty, r d5 P.cciclana3 Avenue , Larchmont, presenting a claim in the amountof 115.. 90 for clothes which she said Tere taken by the men of the garbage oclie c t- ion On May 7th was presented to the Board and the Clerk directed to inform her that she should take this ratter up with the police® A Communication from the Building Commission in regard to the applicationfor the Operation of a billiard and pool roof in the Florence Building On Myrtle Boulevard, informed the Board that the Building Commission is "having the premises inspected for the required amount of exie, etc. , governing places of amusement etc It is our opinion that the aD21ieaticn for licenses to operate a °! business of this nature is a Police Department matter and we therefore , are attaching the necessary forms to be executed by the applicant. " The letter also informed the Board that there is it operation at the present time , a pool table which is being rented for hire at the building at L78 Myrtle Boulevard, The matter was referred to the Police De'Da::amen, Upon motions the meeting adjourned at g25 P.
