I EETING OF THE TOWN BOARD
TOWN OF XAMARONECK, N. Y.
held December 7th,, 1929.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton
at 10:30 P. M.
Present: Supervisor Burton
Justices Boyd, Howell and Leeds
Town Clerk Sherman
Counsellor Gamble
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was voted to dispense
with the reading of the minutes of meetings not yet approved.
•The report of inspection of the Town Lockup, by the
State Commission of Correction, was received,, read and ordered
placed on file.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was
RESOLVED, that the recommendations from the
State Commission of Correction, in relation
to the Town Lockup, be and the same hereby
is approved and referred to .1ustices Leeds
and Howell, who are authorized. and empowered
to carry said recommendations into effect.
A communication from Messrs Wing and -Wing, was receivei
and read, submitting statement of an accident to one, William
Jacobson on Forest- Avenue.
The same was ordered reeeived,, placed on file and
referred to Counsel.
Supervisor Burton reported that there are several
vacancies now existing in the Police Department, and after
discussion and consideration, it was, upon motion, duly seconded
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor as Police Com-
missioner of the Town of Mamaroneck be and he
hereby is authorized, and empowered to fill the
present vacancies in the Police Department of
the Town of Mamaroneck up to the present quota
by the appointment of additional men, and, in
so far as funds are available therefor, to
appoint such men in addition to the regular
quota that he may in his judgment and dis-
cretion deem necessary.
The Supervisor reported to the Board that Captain Decker
had preferred charges against Officer John Grennan and that a
trial had been held before the Supervisor, as Police Commissioner,
upon charges presented by Captain Decker, and that he had found the
Officer guilty of the charges as preferred,, andlud fined him
five days° pay.
The Supervisor asked the approval of the Town Board to
his action.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was

BBSOLVBDt that this'Board approves of
the action of the Supervisor acting as
Police Commissioner in sustaining the
charges presented by Captain Decker, in
fining Officer Tohn Grennam five days'
pay.
Upon motion, the meeting adjourned at 11 A. If.
