CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bell at 7:30 AM at the site
of Blockbuster Video.
CONSIDERATION OF SITE PLAN APPLICATION - New York Video
a/k/a Blockbuster Video
1331 Boston Post Road
Block 411 Lot 11
The Board inspected the site and discussed the application with the
applicants and their representatives. The discussion centered on traffic
on New Hammocks Road, the sight line of traffic proceeding northbound on
New Hammocks Road toward the entrance of the parking lot, the conveyance
of traffic to and fLum the Hammocks Middle School and traffic into the
applicant's parking lot, the configuration of parking on the parking lot,
the placement of a drop box, the planting of appropriate trees on the
Post Road side, the opening of the gates on the Old Hammocks Road side of
the parking lot, the placement of a stop sign on New Hammocks Road, the
extension of a curb on the New Hammocks Road side.
On motion of Mrs. Jacobson, seconded by Mrs. Latona, the following
resolution was approved unanimously by those Board members present.
WHEREAS, New York Video, a/k/a Blockbuster Video, has submitted an
application for Site Plan approval for the premises at 1331 Boston
Post Road; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board has previously conducted and completed
proceedings pursuant to SEQRA; and
WBEPEAS, the Planning Board has reviewed all submissions by and on
behalf of the applicant, and all correspondence from Town Officials
and the Consulting Engineer to the Ton;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Site Plan approval is hereby
granted on the application of New York Video, subject to the terms
and conditions set forth herein:
1. A prompt application be made for the placement of a stop
sign on New Hammocks Road south of the entrance to the parking
lot.
2. The first four bushes/trees at the south side of the parking
lot be removed and replaced by law growing evergreens.
3. Two trees shall be planted on the Post Road side of the
premises in accordance with the approval of the Building
Inspector and the Tree Commission as to type and location and
the approval of the State Department of Transportation.
4. Documentation shall be presented demonstrating to the
satisfaction of counsel to the Board that the applicant's lessor
has right of arrPss on Old Hammocks Road.
5. Any drop box used shall not be located on the New Hommocks
Road side of the premises or parking lot.
6. The gates of the parking lot on Old Hummocks Road shall be
open at all times.
7. The configuration and striping of the parking lot shall be
in accordance with a plan approved in advance by the Building
Inspector.
8. The applicant shall, at its own expense, extend the curb on
New Hummocks Road from the existing curb southward to the light
pole base.
ADJOURNMENT
On motion of Mrs. Latona, seconded by Mr. Murray, the meeting was
adjourned at 8:35 AM.
