Wings and a rear addition are proposed. One wing will house the ladder
truck and and the mini-attack vehicle and would have a rear door creating
a drive-through bay. The fire personnel maintained that this arrangement
will cut down on a lot of jockeying of vehicles in Weaver Street. With
the wider building, it will no longer be necessary to park fire trucks in
the parking lot for maintenance. Also, fueling will be done off-site.
Many neighbors appeared. They included Katherine Pelton, 31 Edgewood
Avenue; Bonnie Rodney, 31 Maple Hill Drive; Sanford Bell, 11 Maple Hill
Drive; Amy Nathan, Edgewood Avenue; John Rainey, 78 Hillcrest Avenue;
Elizabeth Colleary, 65 Hillcrest Avenue; Joan Clark, 45 Hillcrest Avenue;
Diane Stulley, 29 Hillcrest Avenue; and Pat Sullivan, 287 Weaver Street.
Same of their questions concerned the use of the interior. Mrs. Reader
explained that the Planning Board does not review interiors and stated
that the Town did not have to subject its plans to examination at all.
Supervisor Price stated that the rooms had been used by the fireman on an
historical basis and that the Town residents endorsed the uses through the
referendum.
Concerning undue noise, it was explained that with an all volunteer force,
there must be a backup system such as the town wide alarm for the beepers.
ADJOURNMENT
At 10:50 PM Mrs. Reader declared a short adjournment and reopened the
meeting at 11:02 PM.
Mr. Silverberg explained that this Board must wait 30 days from its
original hearing and must hear from the Boards to which referrals had been
made The matter must stay open 30 days.

Town Administrator, it was unanimously
RESOLVED, that the Public Hearing be, and hereby is, declared
adjourned to the next regular meeting of this Board, April 13, 1994.
