Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck, NY. Members Present: Others Present: Chair, Doris Shaw Block Lt. Paul Creazzo, Police Department Stephen Bartell Abby Katz, Councilwoman Donald Sutherland Mary Stanton, Assistant to the Town Administrator Camille Odierna Nancy Angiulo Old Business 1. Continued Discussion — Converting Poplar Road to a One Way Street. Lt. Creazzo reported that the Police Department conducted a speed survey on Poplar Road to gauge average speed. Police found that traffic on Poplar Road was very light and there were no incidents of speeding. The Traffic Committee is not willing to recommend making Poplar Road a one way street. The corner of Poplar Road and Forest Avenue, the site where the residents have requested a stop sign, is located in New Rochelle. They will have to petition New Rochelle for this. 2. E-mail from Christine Kegan Price dated May 15, 2012 re: Parking on Alden Road, Copley Road & Harmony Drive. Exact number of parking spots available needs to be determined. The committee requests preparation of a map of parking in the area with lines painted on the street and clarifying the impact of putting spaces on the north side of Alden Road. Lt. Creazzo will make sure that emergency vehicles can get through if 5 parking spots are created on the north side of Alden Road. He believes there will be no problem as Alden used to be a two way road. He will report back to the Traffic Committee. The Traffic Committee will tentatively approve the extra parking spaces once the number of spaces is determined. New Business 1. Lance Wachenheim's e-mail of June 5, 2012 reporting difficulty in making right turns on New Jefferson Street due to poor visibility. The Traffic Committee will recommend removing the "no stopping here to corner" sign. u llll II IIIIIII IIIII ! III ,, IT! IIIII IIII I %Wednesday. !A iS,'tui, ',,,' 01
