MAY 21, 2018
Present: Edward Jacobson, Chairman, Ken Ricci,Joseph Shein
Also Present: Jeffery King
Mr.Jacobson stated there are only 3 members present therefore applicants would require a unanimous
vote in order to be approved or they can ask for an adjournment.
1. Majestic Glass and Mirrors 2423 Boston Post Road Sign
Henry Morello, the owner, addressed the Board.
Mr.Jacobson stated the Boards need to see the placement of the sign on the building. The sign code
does not permit internally illuminated signs, it would require a zoning variance first.
Mr. Morello will submit a new plan showing the size, scale and placement of the sign and return next
month.
2. Espresso Cafeto 1262 Boston Post Road Sign
Mr.Jacobson stated he looked at the scale of the sign in comparison to the rest of the center.
Brian Cullan, of Gotham Signs stated the lettering is flush mounted directly to the wall and the code
allows 32 inches. The sign is not illuminated.
Mr.Jacobson stated the letters are too large and need to be reduced to be more in scale with the rest of
the signage on the building.
Mr. Ricci stated when the height is shrunk everything shrinks, he needs to see it again.
Mr. Cullan stated he will come back with a revised design and photos of the adjacent signs.
Mr.Jacobson stated a temporary sign is possible and referred the applicant to the building department.
