windows are not possible as there is no space between the buildings. If the building next door is ever
taken down he stated they would replace the original proposed siding.

4. 1330 Boston Post Road Excelsior Cleaners Signage
John Kaulfin, the owner of the cleaners, addressed the Board, stating they are having a grand reopening
Thursday, and would like to install the new signage.
The Board discussed the proposed signage, stating the signage as designed crowds the facia, and
suggested that the type face of the signage on the truck would be more appropriate. The length and
size of the sign is overpowering. Upper and lower case lettering would be easier to read and would fit
more comfortably in the space. It was suggested that the lettering be spread out a little and be slightly
bolder then the sign on the truck.
Mr.Jacobson suggested that the capital E be smaller about 18 inches.
The color was discussed and approved.
Jamie Orozco of Sign Design was also present, and stated they will return with a new design as
suggested by the Board.
2. 2155 Palmer Avenue ACURA signage
Jonathan Villani, the applicant's representative, addressed the Board. He stated that ACURA is before
the Planning Board for a Special Use Permit and a variance is required for the signage but requires BAR
approval first.
The Board discussed the existing signage, and found the parts and service signage unacceptable.
Illumination was discussed. Mr.Jacobson stated that present code does not allow internally illuminated
signage. Ms. Neff stated that the exist and entrance signage need illumination.
Motion: To accept the signage as presented, illumination only for the enter and exit signage and the
removal of the parts and service signage.
