The Supervisor stated that the Board of Trustees of the
Westchester Joint Water Works, No. 1, on which Board he is the Town
representative, had estimated that based on the present rates for
water in the unincorporated section of the Town a deficit of S,2,000 -
$2,500 would occur in the year 1936. He stated further that the pre-
sent rates charged by the Westchester Joint Water Works, No. 1 are
the lowest in Westchester County for large consumers of water and re-
commended that a slight increase be made in the rates to large con-
sumers in order approximately to off-set the anticipated deficit.
Even with this proposed increase in rates, he added, the rates to the
large consumers would still be as low as or lower than in any other
communities in the County.
