At the Town Offices, 118 West Boston Post Road, Har.2aroneck, N. Y.
-- The meeting was called to order by Idr, heginniss at 7.55 P. 1�
Present.. Councilmen Bates, Brennan, Griffin, 1'eginniss.
The presence was also noted of Town Clerk Karvin.
On motion by Hr. Griffin, seconded by Yr. Bates, Lr. Heginniss
was unanimously elected to act as presiding officer in the absence of
the Supervisor.
11r Heginnise stated that the meeting had been called for
the pur-oose of considering the report of the special committee , consist-
ing of Er. Griffin and Building Inspector Sarfaty, appointed at the
meeting of the Town Board on August 21, 1934, to tabulate and consider
the bids received for the installation of a new heating system in the
Town Hall and to make recommendations thereon.
Hr. Griffin reported on behalf of the committee that the
committee had considered very carefully all the bids that had been
submitted , that the lowest bid submitted by a local firm and the
second lowest of all those received (being d?13.00 higher than the
lowest bid) was the bid of E., K. Ortiz of Mamaroneck; that said
F,. K. Ortiz is known to be a res-ponsible firm and that the committee
recommends the acceptance of the bid of F. K,. Ortiz in the amount of
71050.00, this price to include the use of American Radiator Comioany
equipment instead_ of the alternate type of boiler for which another
figure was submitted.
Upon motion by Hr. Griffin, seconded by I.1r= Brennan, it was
upon roll call unanimously
RESO V= that or, the recommendation of the special
committee the bid of F.. K. Ortiz of TIamaroneck in the
amount of :.1050.00 for installing a new heating plant
in the Town Hall in accordance with the s--cecifications
prepared by the Building Inspector be and it hereby
is accepted. and be it
FURTH7R RESOLVED that the Supervisor and the Town Clerk
be and they hereby are authorized to execute any and
all papers necessary to accomplish this transaction.
The To?rn Clerk informed. the Board that T.. Palmer Howell,
a former member of the Town Board and a life—long resident of the
Town had died and that it would be in order for the Board to express
its regret at his passing.
Or motion by Yr. Bates , seconded by 1 r. Griffin, it ?:7as

RFSOLVEII, G=71, EAS, T. Palmer Howell eras a member of the
To�,,m Board of the Town of Hamaroneck for the years 1926
to 1929 inclusive ; and
WHTRFAS, he had. been the Receiver of Taxes of the Town
of 1amaroneck for the years 1916 to 1921 inclusive , and
oVH=_AS, he was a life—Tong resident of the Town of
Ijlama_^oneck, beloved by all who kneel him and a respected
and public—spirited citizen; and
1'HMFAS, Hr.. Howell died on August 26 , 19344 now, therefore ,
be it
RESOLVED, that this Town Board do and it hereby does express
its regret at the death of a. former member of this Board
and at the loss sustained by the community° and he it
B�TIIFR R SO VED that the sSmpathy , of this Board_ be
e�:tended to �he members of Yiis fariily and that the Tovm
Cleric send a copy of this resolution to his family.
A letter dated July 23, 1934, was received from Frank Se
Holler regarding taxes alleged to have been unpaid on Section 1,
Block 80 , Lots 14, 15 yd 16 of the year 1919@ The letter was
referred to the Town Attorney,
The Town Clerk informed the Board that under Section57 and
26 , Chapter 232 of the . Laws of 1904 , it is the duty of the Town Board
and the Board of Assessors to meet on the first Tuesday of September
in each year to select, make and verify a Grand and Trial Duly list
for the succeeding calendar years He stated further that the next
regular meeting date of the 'Tors Board would be September 5, the first
Wednesday in the months
On motion duly made and seconded it was unanimously
RESOLVED that the date of the next regular meeting of this
Board be and it hereby is advanced from Wednesday, September 5,
to Tuesday, September 4 in order that the work of selecting9
making and verifying a Brand and Trial .Bury list may be
commenced at the same times.
At 8110 Ps H. the Board unanimously resolved to adjourns.
