Y. 10539 NEXT MEETING - April 10 Minutes of March 13, 1986 Call to Order In absence of Ruth Santos, the meeting was called to order by Nancy Sahlein. Present were: Nancy Teplw, Stephen Chapin, Marguerite Rosenberg, Bob Reynolds, Frank Stilo, Nancy Sahlein, Judy Call, and Nedra Gillette. Treasury Nancy Teply reported $26.811 in the checking account, $750.61 in savings with a total fund balance of $777.45. Safe Rides Steve Tannen sent a report that Safe Rides has elected officers for next year: Jason Kaufman, Pres., David Kates, VP, Mark Schulman, Rec. Sec 'y., Suzanne Shaker, Corres. Sec 'y., Gill Walker, Treas., Senior Rep will be Evan Niffelson and Junior Rep. will be Amy Fischer. They are spearheading a drive against drunk driving for the month of April. They are making a video about a party scene to show 8th graders at the Hommocks and holding a poster contest there. Youth Advocate Bill Reilly sent information that Planned Parenthood in New Rochelle has closed so that people who seed their services have to go to the White Plains or Mt. Vernon offices. Anne Martin called to report that at the High School on High School April 15 there will be; a program about stress for juniors and seniors. The night before, Monday, April 1L , there will be a speaker( on stress open to parents in the community. YES Nancy Teply reported that there are enough jobs at YES but not enough students to fill them. Town Council Rep. Steve Chapin, the new Town Council representative on CFY, was introduced. Homeless There will be a report on the homeless at the Nhite Plains Library April 17, 9:30 a.m., Sponsored by League of Women Voters SAFE Mary Savage reported on Community Awareness Month and the programs the SAFE committee have planned. Attached for file copy of minutes will be the calendar of daily programs for the month of April. The first funds for SAFE have been pledged by the Village of Larchmont . Nominating Comm.
