the developmentally disabled.
OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Volunteer Services Bureau may start respite care for people
with children under five who are in constant need of
supervision. Students may possibly be able to help out if
the parent remains in the house.
Hockey parents are meeting March 19 to discuss making a
permanent facility where the skating bubble is. People have
suggested erecting a building which would have skating
downstairs and a youth lounge upstairs. This would cost over
three million dollars, so would have to be voted on.
Bill Reilly has been conducting workshops on substance abuse.
He also asked kids what they would like the Town to provide.
They wondered if the Senior bus could be used on Friday and
Saturday evenings to transport them, for a fee. It was felt
that this is an excellent idea, which the students should
pursue. Since they are only 13 or 14, adult help will
probably be needed.
The next meeting is April 9, 8: 00 p. m. Assemblyman Ron Tocci will be there.
The meeting was adjourned 9: 00 p. m.
Respectfully submitted
