Y. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor McCulloch at 5: 30 F. iii. Present : Supervisor 1iicCulloch Councilmen: Bates, Iviandeville , Iiieginniss Absent: Councilman Griffin The presence was also noted of Town Clerk Payne and Comp- troller Luceno. The Supervisor stated that the purpose of the meeting was to complete consideration of the proposed 1939 budget and set the date for a public hearing thereon. The Supervisor presented detailed estimates in writing of the amount of expenditures for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1939, in, for and by their respective offices, boards, departments and commissions as prepared and filed by every ad- ministrative officer, board, department and commission of the Town and every district thereof. Such preliminary estimates were ordered filed and considered to be a part of these minutes. The Board thereupon prepared an itemized statement in writing of the estimated revenues and expenditures of the Town for the fiscal year commencing January 1 , 1939, which statement is known as the Annual Estimate. On motion by Councilman Meginniss, seconded by Councilman Bates, it was upon -roll call unanimously RESOLVED. that the Annual Estimate or Tax Budget of the Town Iof luamaroneck as prepared by this Board for the year 1939 be and it Hereby is approved; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that said original estimate or budget be filed in the office of the Town Clerk where it will be available for inspection by any interested persons at all reasonable hours; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Public Hearing thereon as required by Section 113 of the Town Law be held by and before this Town Board on Friday, December 16, 1938, at 8:15 P. 1.1, in the auditorium of the Senior High School on Palmer Avenue, I,Iamaroneck; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk give notice of said Public Hearing as required by Section. 113 of the Town Law in The Daily Times, a newspaper published in the Town of lviamaroneck, in its issue of December 6, 1938, and in The La-rchmont Times, a newspaper pub- lashed in the Town of -Mamaroneck, in its issue of December 8, 1938, which newspapers are hereby desig- nated the official newspapers of the Town for the purpose of this publication; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Comptroller have prepared one hundred and fifty (150) copies of said Annual Estimate or Tax Budget for the use of the public . During the discussion concerning the estimates, suggestions made at the following preliminary meetings on the budget, to which individuals and representatives of organizations were invited, were taken into consideration; November 25, November 26 and November 29, 1938. The Town Clerk read a letter dated November 28, 1938, re- ceived from David T. Williams, President of the Taxpayers' League of Larchmont and ivamaroneck. The letter was ordered filed. At 6; 30 P. I.I. the Board unanimously resolved to adjourn. Town Clerk
