HomeMy WebLinkAbout1934_02_20 Town Board Minutes Q PUBLIC HEARING BY AND BEFORE THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF MAMARONECK, NEW YORKt IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 146 OF ARTICLE 6A OF THE TOWN LAW HELD FEBRUARY 20TH, 1934- At the Mamaroneck Senior High School, Palmer Ave. , Mamaroneck, N. Y. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor McCulloch at 8:45 l q: A Present : Supervisor McCulloch Councilmen Bates, Brennan, Griffin and Meginniss The presence was also noted of Town Attorney Delius, Public Welbre Officer DeVinne, Chairman of the Police Commission Curren and Town Comptroller Hirschmann. The Supervisor stated that the meeting had been called pur- suant to the provisions of Section 146 of Artiole 6A of the Town Law and that all persons present who were interested mould be given the opportunity to be heard with respect to the tax budget under consider- ation or any part or item thereof. He further stated that he had delayed the opening of the meeting beyond the time set forth in the notice of call in the hopes that despite the very bad weather more persons might be present.. In the absence of Town Clerk Marvin, Town Attorney Delius acted as Clerk pro®tem and presented the call of the meeting which was unanimously approved as printed. He also presented affidavits of pub- lication in accordance with the requirements of Section 146 and they were unanimously approved and ordered. filed. The Supervisor then stated that in view of the bad storm raging at the time he desired an expression of opinion from those present as to whether the meeting should be adjourned to a later date in order to give as many people as possible an opportunity of being present. After considerable discussion, those persons present, by a rising vote, sent on record in favor of adjourning the meeting until Thursday, February 22nd., 1934 at 2 :30 P. ICI. at the Senior High School, Palmer Avenua, Mamaroneck, N. Y. At 9 :05 P. M. the meeting adjourned to meet again on Thursday, February 22nd. I i Clerk pro-tem
