YINUTFS OF A PUBLIC BEARING
BY AND BEFORE THE TOWN BOARD
TOWN OF YAMAROHTCK, YEW YORK
HELD JANUARY 19TH, 1934
In the Auditorium of the Senior High School, Palmer Avenue,
Mamaroneck, New York
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor McCulloch
at 8 :15 P. V.
Present: Sure_rvisar MrGulioch
Councilmen Bates, Brennan, Griffin & Meginniss
The presence was also noted of Town Clerk Idarvin$ Town Attor-
ney John 1. Delius, Town Comptroller X. Henry Hirschmann, Receiver of
Taxes Henry R. Dillon and Public Welfare Officer Charles D. Devinneā¢
With the aid of a black-board the Supervisor outlined to
the meeting the present financial position of the town in respect to
assets and liabilities.
The meeting was then thrown open to questions from the floor
and a number of persons made inquiries regarding various financial
matters.
No. Edward A. Keeler of Howell Avenue and other persons unident-
ified were roundly applauded when they stated they felt the Town Fathers
should make every effort to lighten the burden of debt as much as they
could but that the debts were just obligations of the town and should
be paid by taxes levied in the 1934 budget to the extent that such lev17
was not crushing and unbearable to the taxpayers.

At the Town Offices, 118 West Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck, V. Y.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor McCulloch
at 5 :25 P. M.
Present: Supervisor McCulloch
Councilmen Bates, Brennan, Griffin & Meginniss
The presence was also noted of Town Clerk Marvin
The Board at once went into executive session and prepared
plans for the public hearing to be held at 8:15 the same evening at
the Senior High School for the purpose of acquainting the people of
the town with the town 's financial position.
At 6 P. M. the Board recessed to meet again at 8:16.
