HomeMy WebLinkAbout2012_07_23 Coastal Zone Management Commission Minutes CZMC Minutes July 23, 2012 A regular meeting of the Coastal Zone Management Commission (CZMC) was held on July 23, 2012 in the Mamaroneck Town Center, Conference Room D, 1st Floor, 740 W. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck, New York. The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT: Marc Godick Pam Michels Matthew Teitsch Howard McMichael Bill Zelenka REGRETS: Rita Murray C. Approval of Minutes The Minutes of the June 25, 2012 meeting were approved as submitted. 2. Subdivision Approval—Andrew Saines, 4-lot residential subdivision, 1 Durham Road—Referred by the Town of Mamaroneck Planning Board Discussion of the proposed project continued. William Lachenauer, the project engineer, presented the results of the investigation of the drainage system that runs north along the side of Fenimore Road. The line was found to be clear up to where it crosses Fenimore Road. At that segment, stones were found in the pipe. This will be cleaned by the Town. The capacity of this pipe was found to be sufficient to carry the overflow from the detention pond. Page 1 of 2 Maintenance of the detention ponds was discussed. The applicant is still working out the details of who would be responsible for maintenance. It would possibly be a homeowner's association but they are still working out the details. Residents from 4 Durham Road and 14 York Road attended the meeting and expressed their concerns about the proposal. Their concerns include tree removal, soil erosion, construction impacts and flooding. The applicant and his consultants were asked to look into these potential impacts in cooperation with the Town's consulting engineer. 3. Town of Mamaroneck/Village of Larchmont LWRP Review and Discussion Hiring a consultant to help with rewriting the LWRP is expected to be a big expense. Other municipalities have spent between $40,000 and $55,000 on consulting fees. Grant funds will be needed to complete this task. 4. Old Business No old business to discuss. 5. New Business No new business to discuss.
