HomeMy WebLinkAbout2012_04_25 Coastal Zone Management Commission Minutes CZMC Minutes April 25, 2012 A regular meeting of the Coastal Zone Management Commission (CZMC) was held on April 25, 2012 in the Mamaroneck Town Center, Conference Room D, 1st Floor, 740 W. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck, New York. The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT: Marc Godick Pam Michels C. Alan Mason Rita Murray Matthew Teitsch REGRETS: Howard McMichael OTHERS PRESENT: Elizabeth Paul, Environmental Planner, Town of Mamaroneck Phyllis Wittner, Liaison, Town of Mamaroneck Peter Fanelli, Liaison, Village of Larchmont 1. Approval of Minutes The Minutes of the March 28, 2012 meeting were approved as submitted. 2. Referral—Bonnie Briar Country Club, 808 Weaver Street, Block 225, Lot 1.1 — Wetlands and Watercourses Permit—Installation of a Supplemental Irrigation System, Referred by the Town of Mamaroneck Planning Board Removed from the Agenda until further notice. 3. Town of Mamaroneck/Village of Larchmont LWRP Review and Discussion CZMC continued its discussion of the LWRP. Phyllis Wittner reported on her conversations with the NYSDOS regarding the update of the LWRP. A link to the State's report on the Long Island Sound Coastal Management Program will be sent to everyone. At this time, CZMC should begin to review the Inventory and Analysis Chapter to determine what needs to be updated. A consultant will be needed to complete a revision of the document. Page 1 of 2 4. Westchester County Stormwater Advisory Board Update CZMC discussed the status of County efforts to provide funding for flood control projects. Legislation recently passed by the County creates stormwater management districts based on watershed boundaries and an advisory board made of representatives from each watershed. The County will be working with each watershed to identify and prioritize the distribution of funding for flood mitigation projects. LISWIC is retaining the services of a consultant to assist in the identification and prioritization of projects within the Lower Long Island Sound Watershed with hopes of finding funds for planning and construction. This "Reconnaissance" plan will be given to the County once completed. 5. Old Business No old business to discuss. 6. New Business No new business to discuss.
