The meetir_•g was called to order by supervisor Burton
at 1:45 P. Id.
Present: Supervisor Burton
Justices Boyd, Leeds, Illessersmith and Burbank
Town Clerk Marvin
The supervisor stated that the meeting had been called for
the purpose of considering the proposed budget for the year 1933.
He directed the Clerk to present any communications relating to the
proposed budget.
The Clerk presented a petition which had been signed by
about four hundred names of local residents urging the Board not to re-
duce the salaries of policemen. After discussion the petition
was ordered placed on file.
A letter dated November 15th was received from Charles M.
Baxter, Jr., Chairman of the Mamaroneck (Tillage Relief Committee,
requesting that the Board appropriate an amount for the benefit of
the Mamaroneck Villa e Relief Committee similar to that promised

to the Larcmont Vil age Relief Committee. The letter was ordered
received and placed on file.
A letter dated November 18th was received from Orson A.
Raynor regarding salaries of the Justices of the Peace and Town
Counsel. The letter was ordered placed on file.
A letter dated November 19th was received from the
Larchmont Gardens Association urging that town expenses for the
year 1933 be cut not less than 10%. The letter was ordered placed
on file.
A letter dated December 9th was received from Franklin
Brooks enclosing a newspaper clipping of a letter he had written
regarding changes in the structure and conduct of town govern-
ment. The letter was ordered placed on file.
There being no other communications in regard to the
budget, the regular order of business was suspended and the Board
went into executive session to consider the proposed budget for
the year 1933.
At 7 P. M. the Board unanimously resolved to recess to
meet again at 2 P. Y. on December 21st to continue its consideration
of the proposed budget.
