The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton at Present: Supervisor Burton Justices Boyd, Leeds, V.essersmith and Burbank Town Clerk Marvin The presence was also noted of Counselor Ralph A. Gamble. The Clerk presented the minutes of September 6th, 7th, 28th, October 5th which were ordered approved as printed. A letter dated November 3oth was received from the County _kttorney relative to tax exemption for Section 3, Block 161, and Sec- tion 6, Block 6A. The matter was ordered referred to Counsel. A letter dated November 29th wa,s received from Counselor Gamble relative to a claim for bank stock tax refund filed by the Larchmont National Bank and Trust Company and the First National Bank and Trust Gompamy of Mamaroneck which had heretofore been referred to him. He recommended that no action be taken by the Town Board at this time, pending a further report from him. The report of Counsel was unanimously ordered received and acceptea and the recommendation adopted. A letter dated December 1st was receivea from the West- chester County Department of Health regarding certain alleged vio- lations of the terms of the garbage contract by the contractor, Fir. Frank Carullo. The letter was unanimously ordered referred to Counsel to inform Mr. Garullo of the breach of contract and to take stepstoinsure compliance with the terms of same. The report of the Town Clerk for the month of November was received and ordered placed on file. The report of the Receiver of Taxes for the month of November was received and ordered placed on file. !i coin.,aunication dated December ist from the State Depart- ment of Agriculture ana Markets regarding the appointment of a Dog Enumerator for the year 1933, which letter had been presented to the Town Board at its meeting on November 16th and at that time ordered laid over was again laid before the Town Board by the Glerk who moved the appointment of John C. Forraras Dog Enumerator. The motion was seconded by Justice Boyd and unanimously approved. The Clerk called to the attention of the Board. the fact that the term of office of Tor. H. J. Brewer as a member of the Building Commission expires January lst, 1933. Upon motion by the Supervisor, seconded by the Glerk. it was upon roll call unanimously RESOLIFF,D, that fir. H. J. Brewer be and he hereby is appointed to succeed himself as a member of the Building Commission of the Town of Mamaroneck for a term of three years beginning January 1st, 1933. M The Clerk inquired if there were any further developments regarding the change in the status of the Town Hall, which the Super- visor had mentioned at a previous meeting, and whether the Board de- sired to take any action on the matter of having the roof of the Town Hall repaired. The Supervisor stated that the proposal regarding the Town Hall to which he had previously referred would not take effect and recommended that the Board consider the laying of a wooden shingle roof. Upon motion duly made and seconded the matter of repairing the roof of the Town Hall was unanimously referred to a committee of three to be appointed by the Supervisor. The Supervisor thereupon appointed to this committee Justices Boyd, Burbank and Town Cleric Marvin. By unanimous c06E the regular order of business was sus- pended in order to hear Mr. aynor who desired to address the Board. Lir. Raynor stated that the Larchmont Library was desirous of receiving the d, -i3,500.00 appropriation which the Town by contract pays to it each year. The Supervisor advised Mr. Raynor that the Library should file a claim for this amount according to law. Mr. Raynor said he would see that a claim was so filed. The Supervisor reported that according to authority hereto- fore given him by the Town Board he had refunded X60,000.00 certifi- cates of indebtedness for the Pine Brook Drain, of which x;-10,000.00 represents certificates which were authorized but never sola. and j;60,000.00 represents certificates falling due on November 28th and December 10th. The entire issue of 5;.60,000.00 was dated as of December 1st, he said. Upon motion of Justice Messersmith, seconded by the Clerk, it was upon roll call unanimously RESCLITED, that the a ction of the Supervisor as above recorded in refunding these certificates be and it hereby is ratified, approved and confirmed. The Supervisor stated it would be proper for the Board to express its sympathy with Mr. R?'illiam H. Fitzsimmons, Deputy Receiver of Taxes, on the loss of his wife. Upon motion by Justice Boyd, secona- ed by the entire Board in which Counselor Gamble and Superintendent of Highways Coles joined, it was unanimously RESCL777_', that the Supervisor appoint a committee to draft suitable resolutions expressing the sympathy of this Board with William H. Fitzsiz:mons, Deputy Receiver of Taxes, for the death of his wife and that a copy be sent the family and also spread upon the minutes of this Board. Thereupon the Supervisor appointed to this committee Counselor Gamble, Justices Leeds, Boyd and. the Clerk. At 10:10 P. 11. the Board unanimously resolved to recess to meet.agaih at the call of the chair to take up such matters ad might properly come before it.
