Application. No.2 Case No. 292 50 Country Road Consideration
Larry Nardeccia, the applicants' engineer, addressed the Board, explaining the Stiers application.
The proposal is to create a sediment basin, using natural stone and a concrete slab over the existing
sand bar to reduce the amount of silt and sediment entering into the pond on the property. Mr.
Nardeccia explained that floating debris blocks the stream outlet causing the pond to overflow.
The Pond is also on the adjoining property at 48 Country Road which is owned by the Bargers. Mrs.
Steirs stated that the Bargers are in support of the project. Mr. Rosenbaum asked that the Bargers be
present at the public hearing to answer any questions the Board may have.
The concrete pad was discussed, as well as how the sediment basin would be cleaned and maintained.
Methods to protect the existing fish and wild life were discussed.
The Board asked staff and the applicant about required referrals. The application was referred to the
CZMC.
The matter was set for a public hearing scheduled for JULY 13, 2011.
