CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:30P.M.

Motion: To approve the minutes of April 13, 2016 with technical corrections.
Action:Approved

Motion: To approve the minutes of May 11, 2016,with technical corrections.

2. 10 East Brookside Wetlands and Watercourses Permit Public Hearing
Frank Marsella,the applicant's architect, addressed the Board. Mr. Marsella stated that they are before
the Board requesting the public hearing be opened to discuss proposal to lift the house out of the flood
plain, and add an addition to the rear of the house within the required wetland buffer of the Sheldrake
River.
Benedict Salanitro the applicant's engineer, addressed the Board and answered questions regarding the
drainage plan.
Mr. Oliveri stated that he reviewed the plans and they are in conformance with the Coastal Zone
Management Commission's recommendation to provide retention and water quality.

Ms. Paul requested that the discharge pipe be black or white.
Mr. Goessel asked if gravity flow would be an option, and the applicant agreed to comply. Mr. Salanitro
responded that it might not be possible as the Sheldrake River could then back up into the property thru
the gravity pipe. Mr. Salanitro further stated that the water will be pumped across the road and there
will be a backup generator to ensure pumping as the pumps will be working even in low water
conditions.
Clean out access was discussed, and Mr. Salanitro stated that, the gravel driveway would provide some
filtration to protect water quality.
Motion: To open the public hearing.

The Board continued to discuss the application.
There were no questions or comments from members of public.
Ms. Paul stated that this is a Type 2 action and SEQRA is not required.

Ms. Hochman stated she will prepare a resolution for the July 13, 2016 meeting.
NEW SITE PLAN LAW
The new amended site plan law is to take effect on July 1, 2016.
Mr. Engel stated the Board may be a little busier because of the new law and there will be learning
curve. He added that the key to this running smoothly is a staff review and a memo forwarded to the
Board prior to each monthly meeting.
