Present; Supervisor Burton Sustices Boyd, needs, Ylessersmith Town Clerk Marvin The presence was also noted of Counselor Gamble. Absent; Justice Burbank The Supervisor stated that the meeting was called for the purpose of receiving bids for $232,983. Highway Bonds -Series A, 1932 or x;232,983. Certificates of Indebtedness. The Clerk read the call of the meeting which was unanimously approved as read. The Clerk presented affidavits of publication evidencing the fact that due notice of the sale had been given and the affidavits were ordered received and placed on file. Proposals were received pursuant to a resolution of this Board duly adopted on I'ay 26, 1932, for issues of obligations of the Town as follows - For $232,983. Certificates of Indebtedness; DTOIT77 For $2324983. Highway Bonds -Series A, 1932; Name of Bidder IDiorris Mather & Co., Inc. Batchelder & Co. Lehman Bros. V & T Trust Co. Interest Rate 6 6.% Amount Bid $2332910.00 $233,029.60 The Town Clerk moved the adoption of the following resolution and Justice W_essersmith seconded the motion. RTSOLtTD, that the $232,983.. Highway Bonds -Series A, 1932, of the Town, the issuance of which has been duly authorized by resolution of this Board duly adopted on lfay 2.6th, 1932, shall bear interest at the rate of six per centum (6n, per annum, and are hereby awarded to Messrs. Yorris Mather & Co., inc.. at the price bid of $233,910. and accrued interest at the rate borne by the bonds from the date of the sale to the date of payment of the purchase price, less interest on the deposited check from the date of this resolution to the date of delivery, said bid, in the unanimous opinion of this Board, being and the same is hereby determined and declared to be, in the best interests of the Town. FURTH_7R R'SOLVIED, that the obligations shall be executed by the Supervisor and the seal of the Town shall be impressed on each of said obligations and attested by the Town Clerk, and if coupons are annexed to said obligations each of them shall be authenticated by the facsimile signature of the Supervisor, which signature is hereby accepted and adopted by this board for such purpose and the said officials of the Town axe hereby authorized and directed to execute said bonds, and the ';gupervisor:is hereby adthorized and directed to deliver said obligations to the purchasers thereof in accordance with this resolution. The foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote.. Ayes: 5 Noes: None Upon motion by Justice Messe-rsmith seconded by Justice Leeds it was upon roll call unanimously RF'SOLVTD, that Counsel be and he hereby is authorized to handle all negotiations in connection with concluding the sale and the printing of the bonds. Counsel advised the Board that after consultation with the Westchester County Department of Health he had prepared specifications and form of contract covering the collection of garbage in the two Garbage Districts in the Town. The present contracts expire June 30th, 1932. After discussion it was upon motion by Justice Leeds seconded by Justice TiTessersmith, unanimously =OLVFD, that the specifications and form of contract prepared by Counsel be and they hereby are approved and that this Board meet on Thursday, June 24th at 4 P. M. and that Counsel be authorized to attend to the public— ation of the usual notice to bidders. A communication dated June 2nd was received from Special Counselor J. Henry Hsser submitting a surety bond for William H. Fitzsimmons, Deputy to the Receiver of Taxes in the amount of X25,000.. and the clerk stated this bond bore the approval of T!ir. Fsser. A claim in the amount of ;125.00 covering the premium for this bond was receiged from Mr. George YcClelland, Larchmont Lnsurance Agent. Upon motion by Justice Poyd, seconded by the Clerk, it was upon roll call unanimously R7SOL17F'D, that the surety bond of William H. Fitzs:immors, Deputy to the Receiver of Taxes, in the amount of .,1125,000. be and it hereby is approved and the claim therefor in the amount of ..,'125.00 ordered paid. A claim in the amount of $57.10 was received from Clara ellen Kayser, Weaver Street, Larchmont, for alleged overpayment of 1930 State, County, and Town taxes due to an error in assessments. The claim was ordered referred to Counsel. At 6 P. TI. the Board unanimously resolved to recess to meet again at the call of the chair to take up such matters as might properly come before it. e Town Clem
