Burton Supervisor DATEDx APRIL 6th, 1932 The Supervisor advised the Board that the budget appropriation for repairs to the Town Hall was insufficient to cover expenses recently incurred by having the ceiling repaired. He suggested that $200 be trans- ferred from the surplus bf the Justices of the Peace account to the Town Hall account to cover the deficit. Upon motion by the Clerk, seconded by Justice Viersersmith, it was upon roll call unanimously RESOLVED, WHF1FAS2 repairs to the ceiling of the Town Hall were heretofore found imperative by this Board and were ordered made by this Board, and WHEREAS the budget appropriation for repairs to the Town Hall is insufficient to cover the total cost of the repairs to the ceiling, and WH77RFAS there is a surplus in the budget appropriation account of the Justices of the Peace, now therefores be it RESOLVED, that there shall be transferred from the approp- riation account of the Department of Justices of the Peace to the appropriation account of the Department of the Town Halla the sum of $200.00 and the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and directed to record such transfer upon the books of record in his office. The Supervisor called the Boards attention to the fact that in spite of the present economic situation, the town had not been compelled to issue any certificates of indebtedness in anticipation of taxes, a fact which he said.reflected favorably on the financial situation of the town. The Supervisor at this point begged to be excused from the meeting because of a pressing engagement elsewhere and Justice of the Peace Boyd was thereupon unanimously elected to take the chair. The Clerk advised the Board that he had received an opinion from Counsel with regard to the claim of Aloisie Antonie Hansa, hereto- fore referred to him, for a refund of taxes paid to the Town of Mamaroneck and for a change of survey on the assessment map. He presented and read a letter of Counsel together with a resolution in conformity with said opinion. After discussion, it was upon motion by Justice IJfessersmith, seconded by the Clerk, upon roll call unanimously RFSOLVF3, that the opinion of Counsel in regard to the claim of Aloisie Antonie Hanna be received and filed; FURTHF-R R7SOLVFD9 that that portion of the prayer of the petitio=that amount of the alleged overpayment in taxes from October 3, 1908, to date, be apportioned by the Assessors and be refunded to petitioner with interest at 6/; be denied; FURTHj'R RFSOLVrD, that that portion of the prayer of petitioner that the Assessment Map of the Town of Mamaroneck be changed to conform to the description of the land owned by petitioner as shown by the survey of Carpenter & Duffy be granted and the Clerk be directed to forward the petition in which the Carpenter & Duffy survey is contained, with instructions to conform the assessment map in accordance with said survey. At 10:10 the Board unanimously resolved to recess to meet again at the call of the chair, to take up such matters as might properly come before it.
