Y. held February 3rd, 1932 The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Burton at Present: Supervisor Burton Justices Boyd, Leeds, Messersmith and Burbank Town Clerk Marvin The report of the Town Clerk for the year 1931 was received and ordered placed on file. The report of the Town Clerk for the month of December was received ::nd ordered placed on file. The report for the year 1931 of Rufus K. Allerton, Treasurer of the Police Pension fund of the Town of Mamaroneck was received and ordered spread upon the minutes as follows: January 5, 1932 Honorable George 'i. Burton, Chairman of the Trustees of the Police Pension Fund, Town of Mamaroneck! New York. Dear Sir: In accordance with the laws of New York, under Chapter 7919 Page 1662-1, authorizing the establishment of a Police Pension Fund, it is required that the Trustees of this Fund shall report to the Town Board, on or before February 15, of each year, the condition of the Police Pension Fund, how increased and its items, and their dis- bursements of and on account of the same. Below is given a detailed statement of the income of the Fund during the year 1931. There were no disbursements from the Fund during this period and there is attached a copy of the certificate from the Trust Company of Larchmont showing a balance on hand as of December 31, 1931, In Fund on January 1, 1931 88657. 99 Invested in Bonds Received in Fund 1931 Fines of police force $29.30 March 3, 1931 :89142.96 of rewards, etc. 11.44 July 8, 1931 1,014888 2% police salaries 986.75 Cash in interestS_9,157.84 Unexperded appropr- Account Trust iation 1930 712.88 Co. of Larchmontkl,675.81 Gifts to Pension Fund 130.00 Int. on principal of Fund 305.29 Total receipts 2175.66 $10833.65 $10,833.65 The bonds referred to in the above statement were purchased as authorized by the Trustees. The report of the Receiver of Taxes for the month of December was received and ordered placed on file. The report of Justice of the Peace William D. Leeds for the month of January was received and ordered placed on file. Justice liessersmith reported as Chairman of the Fire House Committee on possible changes in the heating plant of the Fire House. He said the committee is unanimously of the opinion that the heating plant be changed from a coal to an oil burner plant and on behalf of the committee requested power to obtain competitve bids on the cost of installing an oil burner and the cost of the fuel. He declared that the change could be effected at a cost not exceeding the amounts set forth in the budget. Upon motion by Justice iiessersmith seconded by Justice Burbank it was upon roll call unanimously RESOLVED, that the Fire House committee, in con- junction with Counsel, be and it hereby is auth- orized and empowered to change the 'heating plant at the Weaver Street Fire House from a coal to an oil burner at a cost not to exceed the amounts stipulated in the budget. Justice Yessersmith reporting for the Fire House committee declared that the committee was opposed to granting the request of Krs. Winona Titman for the use of the Weaver Street Fire House for dancing clamses. The committee, he said, felt that the Fire House should not be used for commercial purposes. Upon motion by Justice liessersmith, seconded by Justice Burbank, it was upon roll call unanimously RESOLVED, that the report of the Fire House Committee on the request of Hrs. Titman for the use of the %eaver Street Fire House for dancing classes be and it hereby is received and approved and the request of Mrs. Titman denied. The following report was received from Supervisor Burton and ordered spread upon the minutes: vebruary 3rd, 1932 Town Board, Town of Yamaroneck, Yew York Gentlemen: I beg to advise your Board herewith that I have sold ;;262500. principal amount, certificates of indebtedness heretofore authorized by your Board to provide funds to pay for the cost of construction for a part or portion of the Boston Post Road as follows: Yo. B. P. R. 22R in the amount of $250,000.; which I have sold to the Kentucky Associates, Jersey City, ia. J. Ko. B. P. R? 23R in the amount of $1,500.009 which I have sold to the Larchmont Yational Bank and 'Trust Company, Larchmont, N. Y. to take up a certificate for said amount now held by said bank. The aforesaid certificates will be dated ilebruary 3rd, 19324 and will become due August 3rd, 1932, interest 6% per annum and have beer_ sold for par plus accrued interest, if any. Burton Supervisor The Supervisor reported that he had nDeen working with the District Attorney and Gounsel in connection with the situation in the office of the Receiver of 'taxes, that he was being guided by their advice in the matter, and that everything possible that could be done in the case was being done. Upon motion by Justice Hessersmith seconded by Justice Boyd, it was unanimously RESOLVE -D, that the report of the Supervisor in regard to thesituation in the office of the Receiver of Taxes as above outlined be recorded in the minutes and be it further RrSOLVR'D, that the course of action of the Supervisor as above outlined be and it hereby is approved in every way. Upon motion duly made and seconded the Board unanimously resolved to adjourn at 19:50 P. h', to meet again at the call of the chair, to take up such matters as might properly come before it. 1
