June 21, 2000
At a regular meeting of the Town of Mamaroneck Board of Ethics (BOE) , on June
21, 2000 in the Senior Center, Mamaroneck Town Center, meeting called to order
by the Chairwomen at 8:00 P.M.
Present:
Anna Reisman Carol Scharf
Robert Degen
Absent: Edwin Kaufman Martin Ronan, Ernest Odierna,
Liaison
The minutes of the May 6,2000 meeting were approved.
Reports/ Communications:
Town Counsel Indelicato informed the BOE that the liaison would not be
present for the meeting because of the personnel matters to be
discussed. Chairwoman reported that four disclosure statements have been
received.
Chairwoman circulated letter from Town Supervisor O'Keeffe w/ attachment
(news article) .
Chairwoman circulated a letter from an employee in a sensitive position.
Agenda / Goals:
1. Four disclosure statements were reviewed and there were no
apparent conflicts or appearances of conflicts noted. Three
disclosures are outstanding. Chairwoman to request same.
2. Discussion of an employee in a sensitive position requesting
clarification regarding the disclosure statement and procedures.
Chairwoman to respond by mail.
3. Discussion of the Supervisor's letter referring a matter to the
BOE involving a possible violation of the Code by employee/s in
sensitive position/s. Letter requesting information to be sent by
mail to chairperson of board.
