Board of Architectural Review November 16, 2000 Page 2 • Ms.Washington asked about the Italian restaurant with the awning down at the other end of town, Augie's. She asked how Mr. Carpaneto is doing on their non-compliant issues. Ms. Washington said they never painted the top. Mr. Carpaneto said notices have been sent, they have been to court and he will follow-up on it. He said that the owner of Augie's doesn't own the building, therefore the problem is with the landlord. After some discussion regarding the court process, Mr. Carpaneto said the last thing Augie's had done was taken the pole sign down. Ms. Washington commented on the Dunkin Donuts plan. She said she thought the elevations were illegible in relationship to the plan and she hopes that the next submission from Dunkin Donuts reflects better what they wish to do; i.e. either through a colored Xerox, a rendering of how they expect the elevations will work, because there were no colors or significant materials submitted in addition to the elevations being incompatible with the plan. Mr. Carpaneto said the application has been with the department for about three months. To get what was submitted, was very difficult. Mr. Jacobson asked Mr. Carpaneto to communicate with Dunkin Donuts and stress how necessary this information is. Mr. Jacobson said there needs to be greater legibility, much more graphic information, colors, samples, etc. • Mr. Jacobson said the applicant for Dunkin Donuts has not yet appeared at this meeting, therefore it will be their responsibility to provide adequate graphic material and reapply for a subsequent meeting. NEXT MEETING The next meeting of the BAR will be held on December 21, 2000. Mr. Jacobson said if there is no other new business, he will asked for a motion to adjourn this meeting. ADJOURNMENT There being no other new business, on a motion made by Ms. Commender, seconded by Ms. Washington, the meeting adjourned at 8:21 p.m. 72 Marguerite R a, Recording Secretary •
