Carpaneto, Director of Building p` tkYk cCKco CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairman Wassman at 8:00 p.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Upon a motion made and seconded by the following Minutes were unanimously approved: II/ Chairman Wassman read the application as follows: COSI/James V. Mauceri - 1298 Boston Post Road - Block 410, Lot 463 - sign (adjourned 3/21/02) A letter was received this date by the applicant requesting an adjournment. The Board moved to adjourn this matter to June 20, 2002. DUNKIN DONUTS - 1311 Boston Post Road -Block 412, Lot 288 - signs (adjourned 3/21/02) The applicant did not appear for the hearing. The Building Department will contact the applicant and adjourn the matter to June 20, 2002. LR WESTCHESTER LLC - 1 East Main Street, New Rochelle- Block 503, Lot 117 - vehicle exhibit (adjourned 3/21/02) The applicant, John Foy, appeared for L.R. Westchester LLC. A discussion ensued regarding the site plan,which entailed adding plantings to the portion of the project located within the Town of Mamaroneck and also in the New Rochelle portion of the project. The applicant stated that the fence located along the side property line would be removed to alleviate the Board's concern of the potential property maintenance issues. The applicant was also advised that applications would have to be made to the Zoning Board of Appeals for height variances and to the Planning Board for Site Plan Amendments. The Board was in favor of approving the application with a favorable recommendation to the Planning Board. • ACURA of Westchester/Lawrence Gordon - 2155 Palmer Avenue -Block 501, Lot 1 - sign A discussion ensued regarding the application. Mr. Gordon spoke on behalf of the applicant. The Board was informed that a variance was granted for the height of the proposed sign. The applicant, Mr. • Board of Architectural Review May 16, 2002 Page 2 D'Angelo, stated that Acura was changing its colors nationally. He presented the colors to the Board. He also explained that all the signage would be changed to the same blue and gray throughout the site. Mr. D'Angelo told the Board that illegal signs have already been removed. The Board voted unanimously to approve the application as submitted. OTHER MATTERS A discussion among the Board and Mrs. Flink ensued regarding the need for the Board to be involved in residential applications. The Board opined and felt that they would be willing to do so,but was waiting for direction from the Town Board. The Board asked if the Building Department would look into the work that is currently under way at 615 Fifth Avenue NEXT MEETING The next meeting of the BAR will be held on June 20, 2002. ADJOURNMENT • Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 9:00 p.m..
